Killer Bee, I'm back.
I like Discovery 4.85 because I can play it anywhere (on my Mac Book or the Mac Pro). Besides, you don't need the disc and the storyline is just as compelling. I just got through making an alliance with the Colonial Remnant and have acquired one of their gunboats.

Looks good! Let's get some more members!

FL Hack worked. Thanx.

I'm running Discovery 4.85. I have a good rep with the Lane Hackers, but where exactly is Fort Leniex? I checked every cloud and asteroid field in the Vespucci System and I still can't find the place. Any hints? :?
-
Can we recruit some new members? I mean some of them went to ModDb, to Reactor Forge because they felt TLR would never come back. I've been spreading the word on Facebook that TLR's back.

I'm still here guys. I'm thinking about contributing to the Freelancer Fan Fiction page. Any pointers?
-
Where are all the avatars?
-
What's up?

My thoughts exactly.

Using Friendly Universe shouldn't affect Discovery at all. Some of my friends complain that they can't employ any ship mods in the game, but with the nice selection of ships already incorporated in Discovery, why would you?

Amazon.com still has new and used copies of Freelancer available (I need one  ). I don't think there are many sites that you can download the game from.
-
There are too many to make a good pick. I like almost all of the actually.

Chips Open SP Lite is a favorite. Choose what system you want to start in and the starting credits. The mod's here at the Reactor.

Agreed.

I think he's too embarrased to say.
I'd be honest, if it is a female character, then my favorite female has to be Dr. Kendra Sinclair.

Wasn't Freelancer made to be played on systems like Win 98? That would probably explain why there's a specific FPS rate. :?
-
Did you check out the Facebook page for Freelancer lately? There are a few women who play the game, including my daughter and my wife.
-
If Freelancer was for free and on this site, I think this place would crash. :o
Sorry, I don't think Microsoft would ever let that happen, not to a successful game as Freelancer. There are lots of mods here, however.

SilencerX2,
Thanks for your service. In answer to your question, the answer is yes. All Intel-based Macs have a program called Boot Camp, which will allow you to operate any Windows-based program. It will create a partition for Windows only and you can configure it to boot up in Windows or Mac. All you have to do is provide the Windows OS install disk to make it work (XP or XP Pro (with Service Pack 2 or higher), Vista or Windows 7, I would use XP if you have it). The installation is very simple.
The other option is to use Parallels Desktop. You won't need to reboot your computer but it's pretty pricey. As I'm typing this, I'm on a Mac Pro with Intel processors (my first Intel Mac was an iMac), so you shouldn't have any problem with any Macs made after 2006 with Intel processors. Freelancer flourishes on a Mac.
I hope this information works for you. Have fun and keep Freelancing. As you can tell from my avatar, I also served my country, as a member of the U.S. Navy Seabees. Keep your head on a swivel, look after your people and God bless. Thank you again.

U.S. Navy Seabees (1982-2004)BTW: You shouldn't have a problem switching between mods. Unless the mod is a special install (and there's been a lot of them lately), it's all good. I still use FLMM 1.3.

Reactor Forge is cool, but nothing beats Lancers' Reactor. What's up?
