Re: Change Level Requirement for Custom Missions ????????

Yes a storyline savegame level 38, which is the highest level for SP. I do not use flhack, I simply edit my savegames. Yet it might have been the case that I mixed up a version 1.0 savegame with a version 1.1 game environment, since I have been experimenting with the patch 1.1 lately but I am not sure of that. Currently I am not able to check this any further, so you are on your own. Sorry. See you in Sirius. Buck Danny

Re: Change Level Requirement for Custom Missions ????????

Okay edited the savegame I used with level 38, which is a savegame that was achieved by fully completing the storyline. No not Discovery but I believe that is not an issue here. Changed the level and only the level in the save game to 5 and the mission board was now offering missions with a payout of 100K -120K, like it should. Went over to Tripoli being level 38, jobboard offered missions the level it should. So the only thing changed was the level! With level 38 the message and with level 5 mi...

Re: Change Level Requirement for Custom Missions ????????

I went to the bar at Crete being level 38. Checked the jobboard and was advised to come back when I am a more advanced pilot. So imo you can rule out that your level is the issue here. There is something else going on at Crete. Oh and the Corsairs and me are friends. So that is not the issue as well. @adoxa Quoted I've also discovered that when playing the story (and single player in general), it's actually your progress through the story that determines the difficulty of the jobs you can take. ...

Solving the NNVoice flspew messages

There are several flspew error messages that are related to the NNVoice. The most the most common ones are : WARNING: Voice message 2213849798 is invalid for voice 3073825485 WARNING: Voice message 2351700488 is invalid for voice 3073825485 An error message that is rarely seen is: WARNING: Voice message 2279119488 is invalid for voice 3073825485 Voice message 2213849798 is generated when a player comes near a jumphole. I do not recall exactly how close, but I guess it was 2.5K. Then, my guess, t...

Re: Solving unknown Sound archetype '0x0'

Well what you do with my patches is your case. They are free to use. But I am not so happy that you are using the the Unofficial FL SP Patch name to label your own compilation of patches. I would prefer if you would choose another name for your compilation of patches, which would make it clear to everyone that it is something else. For your information, I will shortly publish a fix for some nnvoice related issues. See you in Sirius, Buck Danny

Re: Solving unknown Sound archetype '0x0'

Yes I am. Thanks for your kind words bp. Actually this and the other one were sitting in my "cellar" from earlier Epsilon days. Thought I saw somewhere in a thread people asking themselves where this particular flspew message was coming from. I will spit through my old Epsilon files, see whether there is more to share. Solving unknown Sound archetype '0x0'

This is how to get rid of the Flspew WARNING: unknown Sound archetype '0x0' This warning is generated twice when using jumpholes or nomadgates. This is a vanilla problem, caused by the fact that the procedure for jumpholes and nomadgates is apparently the same as for jumpgates. When jumpgates open and close a sound is generated. Currently there are no such sounds for jumpholes and nomadgates but the game engine expects that an open and close sound have to be made. To remedy this, I created some ...

Solving Nav Map not available.

The Storyline endgame systems St02, St02c, St03 and St03b won’t reveal themselves on the nav map but instead the message “Nav Map” not available will be displayed. This is “hard-coded” in Freelancer.exe. At offset 0x 1D 2F 00 you will find the string St02c. At offset 0x 1D 2F 08 you will find the string St03b. At offset 0x 1D 2F 10 you will find the string St03. At offset 0x 1D 2F 18 you will find the string St02. These entries are responsible for the message: "Nav Map not available". This is wh...

A few years ago I released a fairly comphrehensive tutorial on encounters. I believe the tutorial is in the download section. Maybe you can find here some answers.

Re: Can too many scripts cause connection lag?

In my experience and knowledge the script files are only used when you activate a mod. During activation the contents of the script(s) are used to modify the ini files targeted. So once the activation proces is finished, the script files are not addressed any more. My guess is that your problems lie somewhere within the modifications you apply with the scripts.

Crashing room that won´t stop crashing

Reading your initial message I get the impression that the CTD´s occur when you switch rooms. If that is the case than the error is not likely to be in the mbases. Did you check the room files? Are the entries in there pointing to the correct rooms? If one of the exits points to a wrong room, a CTD is eminent. BuckDanny

Epsilon Mod 273_1 Feedback Thread

@mongoose1264 You said Crashes as soon as I get near it, it this literally meant? I mean the crash occurs without you docking to the tradelane? Just you being in the vicinity of the tradelane causes the crash? And this only happens near the tradelane Bat
