It dose support both A3D and EAX I have a Windows 98 machine with a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and it shows a selection for EAX in the Audio settings menu. So I guess no one has used Alchemy in conjunction with Starlancer?
Hello, I have just installed a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS in my Winodws 7 system. The main reason I installed this 24 bit sound card was to enjoy the EAX accelerated hardware sound effects that Starlancer offers. Well do to MS smarts they removed the DirectSound 3d hardware layer in Windows 7, so in order to get accelerated sound effects from Directsound 3D games one must install Creative Alchemy to re enable the EAX effects. Alchemy works by converting DIrectsound 3d calls into Open AL ...
Ok, i think i fixed the problem by using a tip from the similar threads window below, and it was to set the compatibility mode to Windows 98 and now force feedback works. But this introduced another problem the frame rate is very jerky as in it slows down and that included the ingame videos as well as the start up videos for the company labels. Any help? :)
Well the first thing I did was select the enable force feedback option, and that did not work so that is why i posted here. BTW there is no other drivers for this microsoft joystick. I cant be the only one with this problem, dose anyone else have this joystick? :(
Hi, This is my first time posting so please bear with me. Here is my problem, I have Starlancer installed on my Windows 7 32 bit machine, I also have a fully working Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick that works in the game except there is no force feed back effect. I have check that the joystick drivers are properly installed and it I do get feedback through the test forces section of the properties page. Any help would be appreciated.
