FL add radius problem

I had the common problem that my custom model disappeared when the center was offscreen. So I wanted to fix this with fl add radius.

But now it's only visible closeup, like in the cutscene at the beginning of mission 2. But when I launch, and then in space, it's invisible

Yeah, LOD ranges seem to be the thing here, although I'm pretty sure that you have it set to 0, 999999 in the shiparch. Basically you can only see the thing when you are docked / landed?

I'll keep a close eye on this topic since I have a ship that only appears when I'm in space, but when I'm landed it's invisible... even though it's a regular size ship.

Also check your camera offset settings in the ini's.

If you find the source of the problem please post it cuz I'm interested.

Yeap, LODranges did the trick. I've set it to 0, 5000 and now it works. But now I noticed that my engine exhausts have the wrong texture. Maybe I've got to change its name in the mat file.

EDIT: editing the mat file with UTFedit wasnt a good idea. It caused a CTD. ALso need to slow down ship. A Transport doing 300 without cruise or thruster doesnt fit into freelancer. Also turning speed has to be reduced. Ship flies more like a Patriot than like a Transport

use the flmodelcloner to rename nodes
but you will have to do the same with utf afterwards
