When I edit a dock port so I can add equipment and change ships for sale, I can. But When I play the game and go into the ship shop or the equipment room...........There is no inventory. Nothing. Nada. Gone. Not even any of the old original. HELP!!!!

I had the same prob that I couldn´t buy anything, but I didn´t know why and how it happened, but I guess it was the program yes. <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Anyway I think you´re doing a great job, bugs are fixied within a day and that´s realy great. If it continues to grow this fast the prog will be ready in a week or so I guess... <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Btw, u should make options to make a new universe, or delete an existing system.

New version with more bug fixed. Problem with the equipment not being added. New Equipment dialog (more user friendly) Bug fixed also in the Ship Edition Dialog. plus other minor bugs and memory leaks. Next i´ll add the Patrols. Deleting a system is a big task. I´ll keep it for later.

dude, this rox, i never thought it would be so easy. im not getting the crash-on-startup problem anymore. The only problem i had was i placed a nomad jumpgate from my system to nw york, it worked fine, but next time i play ed it wasnt tehre, it s possible this was a problem with saving the files or sumthing, or loading.

o,a nd 1 suggestion, make it so the zoom function zooms on the mouses location instead of the center of the map, this is kinda annoying. EDIT: another suggestion, make the trade lanes more visible Edited by - Maimer1 on 27-04-2003 20:12:17

i might have identified the endless jump hole bug not sure do its when you try to add a system with a custom name i´ll explain further in detail i got a system NE01 with an endless jump hole to a system called NE02 now yesterday i had the problems with oter custom made prefixes but i haven´t tested that yet it wasn´t it i dont get it tommorow i´m going to do a remake of 2 systems and then wait a few days untill others might solve this problem has anyone encountered this problem and how did you solve it

Been spending the last week-end trying to have the patrols working. And no, it still crashing the game most of the time. The file generated seems reasonable but i can´t figure out what i am doing wrong. I have been able to create working patrols but i don´t know why it was ok, and the others wrong.... So i´ll leave it for now. I´ll try to do the debris fields next (might be easier). And btw, there is a manual in preparation (Thx to StarGod for taking the task). If you have been able to create manually some debris fields or patrols , can you plz send me the information about it. Thanks

New version available and for the first time, you can put some animation in the news systems. First the debris fields are working. Second, the population zones are also working. Some other bugs have also been fixed (cursor problems). The patrols are still not working, if someone has any idea ,plz send me an email with some details. I am planning to try again to fix it soon. oops just seen that i forgot to implement the box shape for the zone. next release then. I´ll add the small stuff missing and go through the list of bug report (zoom etc..) and after that we´ll see about generating random missions.

Great util!! Its a shame that the patrols dont work <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Still great program. Oh and an other thing. Would it be possible to make it so you could change a systems nebulae? (I keep getting the wrong nebulae in systems :-( ) If at first you dont succseed. Destroy all evidence that you tried.

I am working on the random mission at the moment. I´ll add the possibility to edit the nebulae and stars too. At the moment, a lot of thing (like deleting or modifying) are not working even if adding is done. I am trying to find the solution for each problem and once i can add all i want, i´ll fix the edition problems.

i dunno about you people but the patrols work fine for me.. weird <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> The only complaint i have is the names, sometimes it decides to stop showing any tradelane names. also how do you make it so when you head towards a tradelane to go from x-&gt;y, is shows that, and when going from y-&gt;x itll show that, with me it only shows the one i enetered as its nmae. &lt;Insert Signature here&gt;

Hi KillaFish, thanks for the info about the tradelane, i have found what was missing , i´ll try to add it this week-end. Yes the patrols can work, the only problem is that the toughness must have a particular value that depends on the faction you have selected. I´ll do a modification to the interface today so you can choose which level the patrol will be easily. I have fixed a couple of bugs too in the new pan/zoom system. So expect a new version this evening.

Hi guys, great news , the patrols are fixed... sort of. In fact there is ony certain values for toughness that are valid (as far as i know). So i changed the interface to make visible only the valid combinations. And it seems to work fine. I had some unsuccessful attempt with the random missions so far. Any info is welcome (the one i have found so far does not seem to be really valid). I have also fixed some problems with the zoom and the update of the freelancer.ini. Plus some other minor bugs.

I copy the containings of the zip in the EXE directory and when i want to lauch it, the two first Yes/No questions show but ever things i do, it says &quot;Freelancer not found !! EXITING...&quot; after i made my choice.... I think i´m cumbersome with this question but please help me. Thanx

This problem happens when the program cannot find the freelancer regkey in the registry (i am checking the appPath ). I have modified the code to check also the current directory so in the next version you should not have this problem.
