Widescreen HUD @ startup

I have edited Freelancer to run at a resolution of 1440x900. Once I have launched into space each time I start the game, everything looks perfectly as it should -- therin lies my problem.

If I do not save my game so that the "Launch" option is extended below the HUD, I have no way of clicking the launch pad icon to do so. I can only see the extreme bottom edge of the HUD until I have launched into space.

Does anyone know what I need to edit, and with what values, so that my HUD will appear properly at this resolution before launching into space?


EDIT: I have found a "navbar.ini" file in "Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\INTERFACE\BASESIDE". However, I know nothing about editing the game files at all. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Widescreen works fine for me. With 1 exception: the Nav-Map has a wrong grid (1-8, A-H, but 12x12 fields), so its hard to find correct coordinates.

Does anybody know which file contains the picture which is used for the grid? Maybe I can just manipulate this so it fits in the end...

Or is there another solution?
The size of the Nav-Map adjusts together with the adjustments for the screen in camera.ini. Can it be manipulated separately somehow?


Edit: the "Reveal All Map"-option of the "Ioncross" Savegame-Editor shows all map entries, so its not that necessary anymore to work with exact coordinates...

there are 2 files used for the navmap depending on which map you view
one file is called prettynavmap.txm located in the interface folder

the other file is also a txm one but I currently dont remember the name
