I was looking into the video card thing too and a friend of mine has a Ti4200 and it runs fine for him. I also have a soundblaster card, but it´s an old, integrated one (originally an Ensoniq AudioPCI 1371, but Creative bought out Ensoniq). However, in trying to make sure I have the latest drivers (I´m currently using the ones Win2k detected and installed on its own), the ones from creative.com didn´t detect that card in my system. I know that´s what I have, I did tech support for the company (Gateway) I bought the system from. I think my next step, to ensure that it´s not a SB issue for me, at least, is to disable the onboard sound and slap my spare (a Yamaha XG-based card) in and see how it goes. It doesn´t make sense that this is a sound card issue, but I bought the spare because of another game I had that had stability issues (in general) with my onboard.
