Starlancer didn´t support beamweapons and we had a way figured out how to do it, and we´ll figure a way out how to do them in FL, even if it´s not natively supported by the engine... i remember reading in the editing forum that beam weapons can be done. something about turning the refire rate way up, shot velocity to ´instant´ <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>, and the individual shot dmg way down. the trick will be finding out which projectiles will give realistic beam effects

Yes, but if everyone were doing this, dont u think it would lag the server down? There´s got to be a better way.

Beam weapons own! I made them into my mod. They work fine and don´t lag. Just look at cheesemod, in weaponequip and beam_effects.
