What 3D card are you using? Updating your drivers *might* increase your maximum colour bit. (Worked for me ;D )

I´m using Intel 8something-something. I had to go on this site to figure out how to modify the flconfigdatabse so that I can actually see the text in the game. How come I can see screenshots of the program in use but I can´t see ANYTHING at all when I try to run it? (It´ll &quot;work&quot; for a few seconds before it freezes.)

hey shsan how can i make the systems in the universe nav map dissapear, you enabled it a while ago but now everytime i try to remove a system, explorer crashes, and the game also crashes. just wondered if maybe rather than deleting a system we could just make them not visible on the map until they are visited? an option to show or hide the systems might work better. also do you know any possible way to remove the title writting in the universe map, they say KUSARI,LIBERTY,BRITONIA,RHIENLAND and SIRIUS, i need to remove these for the freeworlds mod but havent found anyting at all on them? since your a bit of a coding god thought you might have an idea. and please can we have the black holes in the next update, cant wait to start making the famous kessel run? love the explorer keep up the good work.

Is this me or is it a bug? I renamed a system I created in my mod, but all the jumpgates (and possibly jump holes, havent confirmed it yet) that connect to it still refer to the old system name...

Archangel, The nomad systems feature only in the sp story missions, so you have to edit them to show in FL How, i dont know exactly. You can create nomads by using the area_nomads and possibly the area_nomads_m13 zone population encounters Edited by - Salamander on 25-06-2003 16:00:31

I have a put a new version that should fix a lot of recent bugs. However i have tried to find where the names (shown on the map )where stored but no luck so far... I am planning to add a function to change the map but i can´t do a lot about the name now..

I can´t seem to get some new rumors to work with my FLE When i create new rumors in a base, they are simply deleted automatically when i switch characters and in some cases the character´s (in my case the bartender´s) name is deleted when i open the characters property dialog again. When I tried to save three new rumors on a new base not even one was saved when i reentered the dialog. I tried pressing Update but it doesent change anything. I think it has something to do with the new rumor dialog...but I may be wrong, i seriously don´t know if its just me....

Hello. <b>shsan </b>, where goes ids_info editing ? start to become usefull nowadays. If i remember well, there was a problem whith the XML code, no ? May be i can hep you... I can manage to make my own ids_infos with diferent colors (only red at the moment ) and diferent sises (only two for now ). Also, im sure to be able to make italic text. You know, you can learn a lot by using scrap !! For example read <A href=´http://babystyle.free.fr/xmlcode.doc´ Target=_Blank>this file</a>. Salamander, i´ll check the rumor. that´s strange because i was able to create a new rumor and the character that i added to my base was saying it. Archangel, the problem was not with the xml itself, it was more with putting it in the Dll. And i am not sure that it is correct yet.. Chris03, it´s not on my pc <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> What do you expect me to do with the details you gave me .... A little bit more info would help. System type, memory size, screen config etc... Did you update the fle.ini (in windows directory )with the proper settings ? ThomasInFlames, i´ll see what i can do but i do not promise anything, i already lost too much time with Win98 to do it again for graphic cards..

I..don´t know lol. I just downloaded the file, installed, and every time I click on the icon, the thing brings up a message saying &quot;would you like to continue an existing mod?&quot; and whatever I pick, it brings me to an error screen.

Okey Chris03, it´s time for some help... I haven´t had the editor crash on the start-up screen, but it sounds like maybe you didn´t get a clean install, or you have a major conflict somewhere. As Shsan said Check the FLExplorer.ini file in your windows directory for correct paths. You need to tell us what CPU you are running, the amount of memory, and the operating system you are using. This information will tell us what it isn´t that´s causing the crash. Other things; have a clean install of Freelancer? If you use FLMM restore everything and deactivate all mods. Read the read-me and the manule if you d/l´ed it. Like I said up front...I don´t know what is causing your prob, but we´ll figure it out. YOU want this editor...it is that good. Hang in... Salamander &gt;&gt; I think you should put it manualy instead of waiting for a new version that will be able to. It´s just a suggestion...
