Asteroid ring

Hi im looking all over and i cant find anything that say how you can do an asteroid field shaped like a ring.

What i wanna do is to reproduce the solar system.
In one of my system ive got all inner planet with the asteroid belt all around it.
At the moment i placed multiple field around the map to emulate an asteroid ring.

I noticed extrusion zone does it need to do what i wanna do?

If anyone got any idea, i would apreciate it.

Re: Asteroid ring

Create the field, then create an exclusion zone in the center extending out as much as you want....several Omega and Tau systems have an asteroid ring in them, and even a Sigma system iirc. Playing through the story with Crossfire atm, so can't go looking around easily. If you still need help I'll fire up FL Explorer and see what I can come up with.

Re: Asteroid ring

I'm using flexplorer to do my field.

When I'm in the link exclusion menu i chose the zone to apply to the field.

i see an option "exclude billboards", what does it serve to?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
When i do this with nebula i got 3 more option.

=> fog far distance
=> Max alpha (0 < n < 1)
=> Zone Shell
Crow exclusion
Exclu_gen_sphere
Exclu_gen_sphere_rtc
exclu_sphere_small
generic cloud
generic_exclusion
generic_exclusion_rtc
generic02_exclusion
outer_spere
plain_inner_spere
walker_exclusion
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
I'm a bit confuse by the options of the nebula.
