The short answer is "yes". But you also need to have a registered copy of Milkshape 3D, which can be gotten from chumbalumsoft.com, and then use the Gmax plugins to export your files in MD3 format, import them into MS3D... and then export them to CMP files. It´s the process that my mod´s art team uses, for the most part, and it´s working well.

So CMP is the right format for FL? What else do I need to edit to use my own ships, ie data cards(obviously), and what do I use for that? And finally, could I reverse the process and draw out FL ships with their textures? So I could use them for images built in a 3D program? I am the Yin to villainy´s malevolent Yang!
