You should find it on the EOA site (eoa.seriouszone.com) but it only works with MS3D versions from 3 or 4 years back. Newer ones will crash on startup

Yes it works on 1.8.5 beta as well.

All plugins work fine in 1.8.5beta.

But - If you use a Sur Exporter plugin please make sure you only use v1.1 and not v1.2, because v1.2 was experimental and is not making reliable surs.

this has been very useful, thank you. by the way, is there away to take/edit textures from a complete freelancer model that is in-game?(.mat .sur .cmp files) to make some adjustments to the file?

yes, for that you will need to open the ship with the utf editor to extract the textures

what are the exact version numbers its meant for?
Sorry for being late in this thread, but the milkshape freelancer importer was made specifically for version 1.6.6. Some later versions didn't work, some did or had issues, but 1.6.6 was the version Kurt Fitzner (aka Reven) worked with in making it. Ah the good old days of our Excelcia mod when Reven founded it.
