it will

You need to run it for Windows NT edition.

Works like a charm on my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. There is a little graphics glitch though with the nebulas

Yeah it works fine on Windows 7. With or without a joystick. I'm running it on an AMD quadcore with a Saitek X52 joystick on Win 7 pro. I believe that i did need to enable compatibility mode.

Still won't work....

Hi, I'm also a fan of the old PC version of Starlancer and recently dug up a copy whilst tidying so installed it on my Windows 7 laptop (64-bit windows 7 home premium service pack 1).

I've been having the same problems with crashing near the end of the first mission, and also no video/frozen video for all the cutscenes. I've tried various compatibility modes without success so tried in Windows NT as advised but it comes up with an error message asking me to insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart the Application. Unfortunately is comes up regardless of whether I have disc 1, disc 2 or no disc at all inserted!

I'm beginning to think it's just not going to work but thought I'd put it to your forum first, any help much appreciated!
