Freelancer Mod Studio is a well-polished and powerful IDE for experienced as well as beginning modders. You can easily create and edit your mods by using the visual ini/bini-editor with unlimited undo/redo and extended copy/cut/paste support. The implemented 3D system editor which shows real models as well as simplified shapes is currently the best tool around to build the universe of your dreams - and is a lot of fun to use as well. The tool also displays models whenever those are referenced in the ini-files so make sure to check that out as well.

Dedicated to the Freelancer modding community.

I was already using this utility. The only issue with it is the occasional crash when saving.

I'm running it on Windows 7 x64. Maybe that's the issue, I don't know. Since a mate of mine didn't had issues with it, and he used it on a x86 machine.

Unfortunately I dont have an x64 OS to test it. Could you please post the crash message using the new beta I am going to release today?

Thats the one I have, and it works fine. IF the new beta only adds new features, its not suppose to crash.

Thats the changelog of beta 2:

Quoted

* Added legend icon for systems in universe display
* Added different model color for trade path (blue) and patrol path (white)
* Added setup option to associate .ini files with Freelancer Mod Studio
* Fixed model not being updated if archetype of object was changed
* Fixed pyramid meshes being lit from the inverted direction

It doesnt fix any crashes as I havent encountered any but it also adds a better error message if the app should crash for whatever reason so thats why I wanted Folgore_RM to run it and post a screenshot

ahh

this is a heck of an app, and seeing your bad ass programming skills id ask for a little feature for this program

-ship hardpointing

a feature that loads the model and let you select where the hardpoint is would be great ! for people like me that can modell and have lots of custom models and want to add them into game
