You can try disabling 3d sound in the menu and possibly lowering the sound acceleration in ur directx window. And also heres the standard "make sure u have the latest but not always greatest set of drivers." - -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I´m not as think as you stoned I am.

Oh, happened to figure it out, Just incase anyone else has a "Gravis Blackhawk" joystick, the game has a funny habit of assinging controls to certain buttons, without letting you know. The little wheel on the left side, that you never really use? It was set as "speed" even though that wasn´t shown in the control setup screen. So when I had it down, I couldn´t move. Vunderbar!

Hehe, aint technology great? <when it works that is> Not to put you or anyone else down, and I apologize if my comment belittle´s you. I think that wheel on the left side of the joystick is usually the throttle in any game (I am probably wrong though). It seems to me that MS should have allowed a third option for the control´s of the game: Keyboard Only, Joystick, and Joystick/Keyboard (where you can use the joystick for the flying direction and firing missiles and the keyboard for throttle control as well as other functions controlled by the keyboard) In other words, since you have Joystick selected, it would have been nice if you could also use the keyboard for your throttle control. <shrug> Oh well, they never asked me how it should be done 8) Digger - I used to be pretty good!

Wether or not it is the throtlle (Odd throttle, only has two settings "All the way to the end" means full throttle, and anything else means zippo) It would have been nice if the game mentioned to me which button it was using for that. It only listed the =/- keys for controlling speed, and } for full throttle, it lists the buttons for all the other functions, joy 1, joy 2 etc... but not that single one. Oy. anyways great game, thanks for the replies. Now I can finally get past level 8, nothing like having to load nearly all afterburnners because the only way you can move is by holding down the afterburnner key. :-)
