  • Not sure what you mean. The vortex (blackhole.3db in solarmisc) isn´t a sprite, and it´s definitely not the same as the black sphere (blackhole_core.3db in solarlackhole).   • I see what happened, the blackhole well had a conflict with this starsphere: basic_stars = solarstarspherestarsphere_stars_noband.cmp complex_stars = solarstarspherestarsphere_bw02_stars.cmp nebulae = solarstarspherestarsphere_bw02.cmp that starsphere has a &quot;blackhole&quot; type galaxy thingy in it (look for it) which caused the blackhole sprite of the starsphere to stop functioning properly i am currently trying to get the blackhole sphere, the well, and the blackhole gravity rings to all look nice and on the same plane, when i get them right i will post my findings with a screenshot <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • looking at the moons of the planets, im thinking there is NO way i am gonna put in 39 moons for jupiter, especially when 22 of them arent even named yet, so im thinking about just puting in the biggest moons with names, that sound OK with yall? **edit** I used NON_TARGETABLE for the blackhole type, but it disappears as soon as the middle point goes off creen, so i added a solarrange field, and made it back into a planet, and that kept it from disappearing (it looks odd when a gravity well 100k in diameter just dissapears when u cant see the middle of it) Edited by - Dracon on 12-04-2003 03:43:23

  • great, im tryng to add the asteriod belt, and no matter how much i try i cant seem to get rid of those little mineable shootable asteriods, even with the exclusion zones, any got an idea to solve this?

  • Yo found it, i looked in the li05 *alaska* asteriod file in it´s exluxsion area cause i knew when i went through thoese areas it had no little asteriods there add this after each exlusion entry exclude_dynamic_asteroids=1 then they shouldn´t show up no more. Not sure if it´s before or after each entry, guess you will figure that out.   • well, i got the asteriods to go away, but the field just fades on the nav map and doesnt completely go away.... oh well, now on my list to do: bases, the oort cloud, tradelane from earth to jupiter, NPCs and NPC ships in space, and some goddies <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • i have updated the zip file (its 62 K<img src=smilies/icon_smile_blackeye.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> and i just want to know yalls opinion of the system and where everything is, before i move on with positioning all the bases, docking rings, and stuff because it takes alot of editing to move around stuff w/o screwing something up. btw, whats the moderators email address, i wanna email him this, and try to get it posted on TLR.

  • sounds great <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> thx man <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> btw, some of u were wondering why some of the planets were called &quot;police planet&quot; i found out it was because of the reputation parameter on the planets, and when there is no base on the plaent FL just says the name of the faction, even if it has a name ***edit*** i seem to be having problems with my mars base, when i dock it just goes black and the only button you can see is the launch button(thank god) but its all screwed up. that ever happened to any of you? any ideas how to fix it?   • are you sure? it should have unziped to you frelancer directory (just the freelancer folder) anyways, if you dont have it, the jumpgate is right outside manhattan, you cant miss it <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> btw, i got the mars base to work, i guess it doesnt like leeds, cause when i changed it from that it worked fine :p

  • i would think the mars base would look like planet pittsburg or maybe something like ghosts of mars, hey the game´s story took enough from the movie already. i also notices that the orbital spa &amp; cruise liner Hawaiii in sigma19 looked awefully like flohston paradise in the fifthe element. by the way, i can probably make a few ship models to sell in your system email me, we´ll talk. my email adress is greenalienz@hotmail.com

  • uhhh, thats like RIGHT next to a tradelane, which could screw it up, just remember, the well is HUGE (like 100k in diameter) and the blackhole jooks VERY wierd when u get within 20k of it, btw, the huge vortex can only be seen from one side, from the other it looks screwed up, try fliping it 180 degrees, and moving it farther away from any objects heres a zip of all MY blackhole files, the blackhole_core.3db(the sphere) goes in the blackhole folder, and blackhole.3db(the well) goes in the misc folder. ww.geocities.com/dragonpatriarch/blackholefiles.zip

  • Are they different than the ones that come with Freelancer? Also, could you edit that mod script so that the black hole is easily visible when launching from Planet Manhattan (so it looks its best)?
