Complete fate of th Hispania and hercrew (a compilation of rumors pieced together)

It doesn´t bother you at all that only USA, UK, Japan, Germany and... I´m supposing Hispania is probably represensing South America. France would have a ship before Spain, Spain hasn´t been powerful in the last century. But Spanish Conquistadors left their legacy. So, where´s Russia? Where´s China? Wheres the Middle East ( perhaps crowd them in with India? ) But not identifying the other 3 sleeper ships, you can´t possibly know who was left out.

Don´t forget that there were 2 forces, Alliance and Coalition, those other nations could of been in the force that was fighting the one that sent off the sleeper ships.

I think that the Outcasts didn´t really CHOOSE to stay aboard the Hispania... I think that they were MADE to do so. Just an idea but... What if there WERE 2 slightly different populations on the Hispania? By "slightly different" I mean the Spaniards that originated from Spain, and the ones from South America (Spanish-Americans, if you will). There is a little difference: the second are scions of the first, but mixed with South American Natives/Indians (the Inks,the Mayans, the Aztecs). Suppose they were divided into groups, rather than mixed alltogether in the Hispania, and assume that part of only one group (doesn´t really matter which one) woke up, while the rest were still sleeping... Now it would be up to them to decide what to do with the rest of the people aboard. It is possible that the ship had only so much escape pods, to hold as much as half of the population... (if not in the start, then maybe roughly half of the escape pods got damaged in the explosion) So, the "leader" of the Spanish chooses that he doesn´t like "Latinos", and that "it was meant to be" for them to get kiled... And he manages to persuade his now awake followers to take some weapons and make the other half of the ship remain inside... Now, let´s see how this fits in: -The Corsairs (Spain) are famous for their ships and weaponsmithing... Remember the Spanish Armada? The "indestructible" fleet? Or the Conquistadors and their rifles? Also the Spanish made about 70% of the Pirates form year 1300 - 1600... -The Outcasts (Spanish Americans) are known for drug dealing... And they were rejected by the Corsairs and made to face their destiny aboard the Hispania. Also they are trying to sell people to the drug, so they could pupeteer everyone... I think that this holds water, but if you see a hole in the explanation, let me know. CMPT XPBATCKOJ [![![!

Hmm 2 of the 3 unknow sleeper ships were propably france & italy, since both were semi-mentioned in freelancer, or were seen (The Italian fleet being killed before the start of the game) for the last one who knows. From the rummor mills in the game I had gathered this much aswell: As the 8 sleeper ships were leaving pluto (Pluto?!) the coalition shot down 3 before they could activate their jump drives, the others escaped, and settled in sirius. On the corsairs they did not start their raiding activities till 220AS when a rhineland expedition landed on their planet, and was promptly massacared by the hispanians, who then took the captain prisoner, so that they could access and use the "mother ship" and from then on started raiding others for supplies. The planet itself was also LITTERED with artifacts, they were all over the place, but over time they got sold off, so there´s not nearly as much left over. On the Outcast burial grounds & the Corsair proving grounds, both are said to be revered spiritual places that are guarded/protected by strange beings (NOMADS). From this it can be infered that the nomads actually knew of the colonists a lot earlier then the rhineland expedition, perhaps the rhineland expedition, or the fact that at that point the nomads learned that the terrans in Sirius were more then just two planets full of half-starving savages, but infact four other interstellar nations was the final straw that caused them to try to "remove" the interlopers. Speculation, speculation.

8 ships is 1) from the game itself. 2) StarLancer had so many national factions, that it only makes sense for there to be 8 running away. This is stuff that will be answered in patchs and expansions. IF they ever patch this game Its also quite possible that there was a russian house rebellion aganst the coalition... thus making it possible for their to be a Russian Ship. if it´s any consilation, the wreak of the hispania is very close to planet crete. So that blows the theroy that it launched from pluto and was destroyed before obtaining warp. unless ya wanna look at the prospect of unknown2 (with planet primus and gammus, possible burial and proving grounds, defended by nomads) being part of the original sol system. my 2 cents

Duriel_LOP, Nice job, I went around and read most of the Outcast rumors, but had a hard time getting the Corsair rumors. It´s great you put it all here (or mostly all). I also remembered that I had also found SOME bits of info on other bases (I think one was Freeport 10). I remembered that I found that bit about the Corsairs keelhauling on another base besides Crete.

In the intro you can already see that something´s majorly wrong with the Hispania...it´s course is vastly different from the other 4(it´s the ship at the far left of the screen when you see them jumping out). Reaper: $200,000,000. Rockets: $100,000 The look on that pilot´s face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless
