    nickless it runs fine on all but one of my xp computers although i have an issue on my laptop it doesnt seem to be an xp issue even unpatched i assume youve tried an uninstall/reinstall if youve got a dual boot comp have you tried an alternate os the way i got it to run on the one comp where it wouldnt run was (unfortunately) to reinstall the os and yes that cured it (for me) btw you have to get the add on pack ,alien crossfire its a big improvement on an already stunning game beware of some of the add on factions people have modded as a couple of those really screwed up the game

    I´m not realy looking forward to reinstalling XP, but I will if I have to. I´s probably good anyway to do it. I thought Alien Crossfire was Mac only. If it´s not, I´ll buy it as soon as I get SMAC up and running.

    alien crossfire is definitely available for the pc trust me its all im playing at the moment apart from sl <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> the os reinstall was a last resort for me it did work with the same error but i stress for me it was the LAST resort (and it had worked previously on that computer)

    I had a game probably about six months back that was doing the same thing. For me it was some sort of error with the sound card i had. It would run fine for about 10 minutes then just puke on me. Hope I can help. Matt

    I have no coment on you problem, but I ask you one question Idoes it (acording to PC gamer which game it a 97% the highest ever) deserve to be the best game of all time? i think not. I had a super Ego, but it was pestering me so I killed it. When I shot it the bullet grazed my soul, and that bled to death too

    When I was In grade school I refered to me and my friends as the stoners who didn`t use drugs to get stoned, we were either naturaly that weird and srewed up or we had been awake for 3 days. Beening Awake for 3 days has all the halucinations of drugs. But its free, well not really, you have to pay for $100 worth of jolt, and red bull. And the best part is just as Much Brain Damage!!!!
