Not sure how u could go linkages, it would have to be single links to the main body. So, u couldn`t have ears that go around like that dog thing from the old battlestar galactica..

  • Actually, thinking about the mecha, can you add a loadout to a weapon? It would have to be very rare so that it didn`t slow down the game too much. But could u do; [Loadout nickname = mecha robot archetype =mech_robot1 equip = arm_link, HpWeapon01 [Loadout nickname = arm_link archetype = arm_link1 equip = hand_gun_link, HpWeapon01 Might seem a bit wild, I know, but it might/possibly/maybe work?

  • I don´t think that would work, Mace, but you should try it... and let us know if it does. My method for making the arms, etc. will be a little simpler than that, but it´ll still be a convincing fake, I think <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Actually, for the liberty gunboat, you should enhance the design of a defender.The patriot has tiny stubs and the rhino is based with the bounty hunter ships but the defender (and wierdly looking the same is the anubis) has got very characteristic wings like on the bretonian gunboat. Though it depends if its going to be heavily built or not. You could even have the front of a liberty cruiser as the back, adding in a few engines.... And then again do you want it to playable?

  • Hi! For the liberty gunboat: There already is quite a good model. I personally like it very much as it fits into FL and the liberty fleet perfectly. It was originally created by )v(aster for the Excelcia Mod, but I also used it in the last version of my own mod &quot;The Monkeys 1.18&quot;. So, if you want to see it, just download the mod. The gunboat is flying around in Liberty space and you should see some of them right in front of planet Manhattan. Building a mech is a great idea. It would be a good counterpart to your bunny Argh!

  • I`ll have to check out the liberty gunboat, didn`t know that somone had already done it. Anyone got any other ideas for designs? The idea was that we got a few then a bunch of us have a go at doing something off the list. Deadlinewise, what do u think is a reasonable amount of time? I know people don`t always have too much spare time to do this sort of thing.

  • How about a Corsair freighter? no other ship matches it....Or I know I´m being un modest but you could include the Hermes as a borderworld ship upgrade?Or a proper civilian frieghter (it matches the eagle and stuff)Or even....... Anyhow, it would be necessary to set at least 2 criteria 1. A ship theme.. i.e. faction or fit-a-faction and a description of the style 2. a poly limit.. Otherwise it becomes a bit pointless..   • Wow. I didn´t know someone already made it. I reckon thats going through all possible *upgradeable ships* and now i think we would probably start using our imagination <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I don´t think a better patriot is possible though.   • For the patriot i was thinking along the lines of, 2xclass 4, 2xclass5, maybe a turret. The ship would be about 1 1/2 times the size of the original, have visably more armour and patrol police bases/the most distant fields in liberty. I`m not thinking about Difficulty levels, i`ve already increased liberty to be higher than in the game, so it could fit in ok without affecting the defender. I guess the same could b said for the cavalier and drake too.
