The VHFs - No, this ISN´T a ´Best Ship´ Topic...

    I´ve flown the anubis (who hasn´t, and the titan (nomad thye 3 cannon x 4 of course) but my favorite ship is the mod I recently posted, the Sutekh. Guns? Only lvl 7, same for the shields (4), but it looks good, and handles well. Personally, I don´t like the "Celebrity Deathmatch Multiplayer Lvl 10 Tankfest Special" fighters. I like the sutekh so much I redid it, v1.1 and added a stable mate, the Sekhmet. so now I have a choice, Capitol ship killer, no cargo, or Commerce raider, less firepower.     There r 5 vhf ships Sabre (class 10 Outscasts) Titan (class 10 Coisarirs) Eagle (class 10 Cilvilin) Hammer head (class 9 Bounty Hunters) Anubis (class 7 ORDER) Ilike the anubis the best it looks great, its cheep, it handles well in combat, and it is verry agile and manuverable class 10 weapons would be helpful The Order dont need class 10 weapons because they r the best pilots in sirus GO THE ORDER Edited by - moore121 on 6/27/2005 5:40:45 PM

    For me, I prefer the Sabre more than any other VHF. A forward facing turret and average maneuverability makes it the best choice for me personally. With a Titan, Your damage output is reduced once an enemy is behind you, which often happens. I´ve killed NPC Titans with a Banshee, Just because i got behind them. And the Sabre, In my opinion looks cooler than the Eagle. Officer! I swear to drunk I´m not God!

    Yes i do love the sabre, but ill speak for someone else on a server i play on. Recently as I was flying through the NY system, i received a challenge. I fly to manhattan to meet "abdacula". To meet. A Patriot. This ship to my Sabre down to my hull cutting out my shields. Why? Superior turning and the only low class ship with a torp hard point. It was kinda cool.

    Prob is, to get the Sabre, you have to go buddy buddy with the outcasts, then not even many of the criminals will like you. Some people are like slinkies. They don´t do anything, but you can´t help but smile as they tumble down the stairs.

    Yes Aravis, Adbacula is a tough opponent, almost impossible (for me, I just suck probably <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>) to beat with him in an Eagle (Although he does like lower class ships for the speed). It´s my opinion that it all depends on 2 factors: 1. The pilot, and 2: the equipment. I found a person who used a Liberty HF with (I´m pretty sure, an old FL salt like me has trouble remembering exact duels) almost all shield-breakers, then a torpedo. I dueled him in my NPC pirating Sabre (Nomad cannons x2, blasters x2, krakens x2) He had me about to 1/2 health before I vaped him. He was skilled, and I couldn´t keep my eye on him. Usually, it depends on the opponent. You wouldn´t use an Eagle with shield-breakers on a nomad fighter, would you? (Well, you could, if you feel like dodging or seeing your ship in sub-atomic particles drifting through the void <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> ) My personal outfit is hit em hard before they vape you.     It all depends on the pilot. Any ship can be deadly in the right hands. Pick the one that reflects your strategy the best. That said, I use the Eagle. Its maneuverability is unparalleled (wow those are hard to spell) among the VHFs, which seems a little unfair at times.
