Looks like the carriage return & linefeed characters at the end of each of your lines, from when you press enter at the end of each line. Remove them from the XML source and it should be OK, the text will wrap automatically anyway.

I´m not 100% sure but I think you´ve pressed the "ENTER" key, this leaves an invisible tag behind that fled_id and Freelancer might not recognise. *Edit* Accushot´s to fast for me, he beat me to it **shuffles of with a new headache** <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Edited by - Bejaymac on 8/15/2005 11:18:00 AM

Cheers for the responses, but it dosen´t seem to be the problem. I did create a text document first and then copy the text from there into the xml window, but there shouldn´t be any formatting as it was from notepad. To be honest, i´m not sure about having these entries on every ship anyway, but I am going to create a manual for the mod which will be given to the player on starting which will have the info from this stuff anyway. I can´t see whats happening in it I think it has to be formatting from somewhere, but I tried re typing the ends/starts of each sentences and it didn´t make any differences..

If you mail me one of the XML files I´ll take a look - from the look of the sources it does seem like you have CrLf characters at the end of some of the lines: <img src=´http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/6751/s28qf.jpg ´> I´ve marked where it looks like you´ve pressed "Enter".

Oh, cheers Accushot, what did you actually want? For me to copy the script from the dll to a text file and send it to you? I don´t really use generating script much, i just rely on dll entries.
-
Yeah, just the source from one of the affected entries ought to be enough. Actually, zip up one of the DLL´s and let me know one of the incorrect IDS values - that would probably be best.

Actually, i´ve just had another look at it and i think its all ok now. You were right, that was the problem. I know that i didn´t add the returns to the wrong places, i´m bad at xml, but not that bad.. I´m guessing that the problem came from copying from the text doc into the xml window. It must have added those returns in an attempt to be "helpful". Cheers for your help.

I have found that when facing the same problem in my mod that at times I accidentally hit the space bar one too many times, the double or triple spaces leaving those annoying boxes. I guess XML doesn´t like more than one space between characters. Nemo me impune lacessit.
