why would you make put all the textures in one texture-file? wouldn´t make much sense in the way, that you had to lower the resolution of the textures, to fit them into a single bmp..

I have all my textures in one file (actually right now its a .jpg, when I convert it to SL it will be in a .bmp)

TG you dont actualy need to use just one texture, regrouping will still use the various textures, i know SL supports this because i have done it. On todays machines 2 or 3 different textures wont give you any preformance drop, if you wish to use one texture, create a collage from your various textures, and map them before you regroup, keeping the size of the texture to 256*256, when you regroup, the mapping coordinates will be saved.
