blindfire???

  • No bugs whatsoever, amigo! The Coyote and the Predator work fine because you can only fire one kind of weapon at a time. The Patriots and The Reapers have multiple guns, and Blind Fire don´t work with full guns on. It works only with single gun mode. Press ´F´ to toggle between Full and Single Gun. • Instead of pressing F you can press G to cycle through guns - helpful sometimes, especially with Reaper in missile hunts.

  • the best gun for Blindfire is the Proton Cannon but as FF you can only use it with one weapon type at a time. If you activate full guns you lose the ability until you return to single.

  • I agree with Sai, Proton Cannons are the best with Blindfire - A Top Gun Through and Through -

  • Am I the only one who doesn´t use blindfire? I find that you can kill enemies much faster without it (torps being an exception.) I mean, it increases your fire rate if it´s off, plus with full guns you shred enemies much quicker. Plus, in Multiplayer DM, blind fire is obsolete because it doesn´t account for strafing. • Got nothing against proton cannons, but the vulcan cannon is my fav (when available) - it´s long-range, and a copuple of blasts takes the torp out, while with protons it takes more time (at least for me).

  • I prefer shooting torps with no blind fire...I get ignorant of my surroundings when I use it, and end up getting one of the target torp´s buddies in the face. Reaper: $200,000,000. • NukeIt : no blind fire against torps? Even on missions where you have swarms of them coming at you (e.g. mission 21 or 23)? Darn, you gotta have real good aiming. I´m deeply impressed. Edited by - zlo on 16-01-2003 15:07:34

  • I´ve just found that the blindfire misses more than I do...better to take some damage while holding still aiming than to lose the base ship because your cannons won´t shoot straight. *shrugs* Besides, torps follow a straight trajectory, and don´t dodge around like fighters do.
