I've got a Dell Inspiron ~8000. GeForce 4 something. Soundblaster Audigy 2. Windows XP sp3.
I just installed Freelancer, and upon restart my sound has stopped working. I'm not talking about the voices in-game; I'm talking about my computer's sound in general. It no longer recognizes my sound card or even that I have one installed. Before posting here, I've tried installing the latest version of DirectX, and the newest Audigy 2 driver (which didn't work because it said it couldn't detect a compatible device). I don't really feel like I should need to move the card to a different PCI slot or anything because it was working 20 mins ago.... I'm about ready to pull my hair out. Any ideas would be appreciated.
