Freelancer Rebalance 1.0b features and feedback

  • I agree with the hyperdrive device thing but it didn´t work do far. The theory is to make an engine that has the characteristics of 2 engines, because the game won´t let u to mount 2 engines on a ship no matter what u do. Still i couldn´t find the right mix that will ignite hyperspace so far. I´ll keep trying, maybe it will came out.

  • I really enjoy all the new ships, but I miss one thing that the official ships do which is show partial destroyed hulls (e.g. wings blown off, the back portions of engine mounts missing, etc.) I know it would take alot more work but is it possible to make "damaged" versions of the ships so the program can update to them when we have taken alot of damage? some of the realism has been lost...

  • Gameshark, the Ties inn TNG have mostly the same weaponry, but much less maneuvrability, especially the Interceptor and Defender. GUX, i know about that, still there are some ships featuring parts destruction, like the ewing, gallofree transport, moldy crow and free spirit´s m.falcon. i know they´re few but the others were not made with destructable parts by thier authors. so it´s nothing i can do here.

  • Rebalance are still the best for me, the ships, the ship specifications and all that. I hope Rebalance mod lives forever, or the least is .. start on the new mod, but the ship specs remain the same as in Rebalance.

  • I´m gonna finish a new version till the end of the week. It´s gonna have some new ships, like Redeye´s Elite ships(flyed by Xenos), his Archangel from Tachyon, wassups LongSword Strike Bomber, the Omega Starfury´s from Giskard(for the police), and hopefuly a TIe Avenger if a friend of mine finishes it in time. Also beefed up Hellfury Torpedoes with twice the Nomad torp destructive power and 400 meter explosion radius.(launch and....everybody RUN!!!!). 4 of these babies are mounted by default on the Longsword and 2 on the Archangel. Also all mines and missiles will have their explosion radius greatly enhanced(fire a EMP missiles at a group of ships and all their shields go BOOM). There will be 2 new brand new weapons for the Mollys, 2 tachyon cannons with sounds and nice graphics(the "RedViper" and the "BlackViper).

  • Where can I buy the weapons which are mounted onto the USS Defiant? I am eager to know where they sell the Nomad Torpedo and Jar´Hem Class10 Turrets (was named something like that, I think)?? Better to know a location to buy it then dock at the wierdest oddest places in the Rebalanced FL Universes~!! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Have a problem trying to run Datastorm 2.2 with REBALANCE. it finishes reading SYSTEMSEA01EA01.INI then give a pop up error of &quot;run-time error 3201 no current record&quot;. behind it the datastorm program says &quot;calculation of jumpholes and jumpgates... hitting ok on the error shuts the datastorm program down. (I hope this doesn´t duplicate, I´m getting strange errors when I try to submit this)

  • Gameshark, the phasers are buyable at Planets Earth in the EFA systems(red and yellow phaser) and planet Mars(green and blue phaser), and at battleship Myoko, in Shi***u system, also the green and blue one. The Avenger will have better maneuvrability than the Interceptor but less than the Defender.

  • Uh...I´ve been away from FLRebalance for a bit, but I´m back now. I see that 9b and a patch for it are avalible on the download page. I see mentions of 9c, 9d and 1.0 above. Discovered I had 9d on my hard drive, but why isn´t it here for download? Was it taken down due to problems? Looking forward to the next version with the LongSword bomber. I like to kill stuff the easy way! Thank You. Glock 36.

  • OK, love this MOD, but I need help! I´m stuck in mission 9, trying to destroy the arch shield generators. Those things are tougher than poop! The ship is a stilleto. I can rip through fighters in no time. All class 6 and 7 guns. But those generators. One of them took me over 5 minutes! From certain angles I can sit still about 20m away and just shot for about 10 sec. before I have to move, and the damage meter hardly moves. What does it take? I´ve tried starkillers, and they don´t seem to help much either. Any tips?

  • Can u belive it I have read all 18 pages. 1. Good work MD 2. Wow 3. one possibilty is to make traveling like in Babylon 5 - one system that has jumpgates to all others called hyperspace (it has to be red). 4. I´m running a server with this mod but I don´t know how to increse player staring credits =[ 5. after reading all this makes me feel like this is THE best mod... ever... Knight who wears White

  • I´m still here, working on a new version(2.01). The others are probably on vacation or to play the TNG. Anyway the new version will be posted till tomorow. I´m gonna start a new thread for it do be on the lookout.
