  • Hi Dan !! I have found two bugs: 1. When i buy a Rep-Hack in the Bar on a Planet in Earth-Alliance-System and go back to Landingpad the game will be crash,i have this problem on Earth,Mars,Mercury and the Moon !! 2. When I buy the LAAG-Weapon on NewLondon to use it on my Ship and go back to Space ,after a few minutes the Game AND the Server will be crash !! But when i go back to NewLondon and resell these weapons the Game works fine !! I love this mod more than the big NewGenMod with or without these bugs !! Hope your help with the NewGenMod will not end your ReBalanceMod !! Greetings

  • Frontier Fan: Darklight is correct, you need to change a setting. If you are using Win2000 or XP, then you have to goto START &gt; CONTROL PANEL &gt; FOLDER OPTIONS. Then click the VIEW tab and one of the check boxes will be &quot;Hide Extensions for known file types.&quot; This must be UNCHECKED for you to see the file extension, which is a .ZIP file. Rename the file and change .ZIP to .flmod and it should load into FLMM just fine. BTW, anyone else who has never gone thru and learned about every option in the control panel etc., needs to realize that if you don´t learn to use your own computer, it will start owning you. If beginners also use your computer, turn the aforementioned setting back on after you are done since beginners can F up a computer pretty well with it on. If you are a beginner, you should probably not be installing mods, or anything else for that matter. If you are a beginner and are on a high-speed connection, a hacker owns your computer by now and you are unknowingly serving up gigs of illegal software and/or MP3´s to the world. MD: Don´t waste time or braincells answering the easy questions (what´s a mod? Why do I need to download FILM? Why is there so much killing in the world?). Many of us or more than happy to take that burden off your shoulders so you can focus on the task at hand. Then you´ll have free time to fly down here to the real Manhattan where I´ll get you drunk and laid by hot American women. Can´t do that in Freelancer. There should be a Planet Bang*** in the Kusari sector where you can really spend your money wisely <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Great work man...keep it up. &quot;Without Mods, this game is toast!&quot;

  • To all you MD´s Mod Fans, To me, Earth Alliance is still unstable, I would not even really try to get bribes or missions there. I just pass thru it like a highway toll. A shortcut, I would say. MD, I would really like to request something. About those funny looking JGates that lead to the New Systems, is it possible to change the skin? Or maybe some lights to show which is front and the back. You have any idea how many times I nearly died by docking on it? Exciting, yes, by my vote, but sometimes, inconvienient. Oh yeah, killing WhiteStar Cruisers are the bomb!! Super lots of cargo items to sell! Rich RIch Rich! And Deep Scanner´s price has ben risen to 12k, now at least I can earn money faster when I start over. 9k for Deep Scanners was a drag. MD, is it also possible to make Earth Alliance planets more stable? I also accidentally crash when I sell/buy stuff there. I just don feel good when I might crash the server when other ppl are playing on it. Nomad Missiles are cool!! I mounted 8 of them onto &quot;my ship&quot;. And it was god!! Take 4800 damage times 8!!! Nearly everything dies in less than 5 shots. Oh yeah, those new missions with Battleships (sometimes more than one gunboat/cruiser can be a nightmare!) Fun, and cool!

  • Great job Michael Dan! This mod just keeps getting better &amp; better. I can´t comment on the bugs mentioned above (being on a slow dial-up connection, I´ll be downloading the new version tonight while I sleep <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> ), but the features listed in your readme look very sweet.   • MD, I wonder when will HyperDriving be an accessory? Like, you know, a Hyperdrive Warp Core, that maybe you attack to a Countermeassure or Mine slot? The CLOAK works!! Cool!! But can players see me? Planet Bang***? Might as well throw in a Planet Microsoft. A planet when you buy ships with a MS tag and other MS advertisements.

  • DeepDragon: the skip intro lies into m01a.ini file...replace it with the original one for normal FL start. Landing sequencs had to go because of the flyable Capships docking problems. Steele,Gameshark, the Earth and Mercury bases in the EFA are generally stable, no matter what u buy/sell there. the CTD appears in the Moon and Mars bases, randomly. Perhaps the LAAG tachyon guns is causing lag! just kiding, it may be the new sound added to it. the CTD appears when u fire ussually? Thurmonator, the list of changes from version o.6b is in the readme.txt file that comes with the mod...go read it.

  • After few hours of playing 2.01 I´ve noticed some minor problems: 1) textures on Cobras MkIII are missing - ships are pitch black with white outlines (not a serious problem - IMHO, Elite ships in FL are bad idea so I don´t like them anyway). 2) docking animations are gone. 3) Random missions from job board on Earth are the same as on Manhattan (&quot;fly to Detroit Debris Field and...&quot; and so on). As you can see those are really just minor obstacles - all the rest is great <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I´ve made also some other observations: 1) I cant get any mission to destroy station+weapon platforms - this kind of mission was really nice and challenging at level 5. But I´ve got a mission to destroy Large Station - and there were 3 identical! They looked very strange together... 2) Nomad Torps - I´ve noticed that one was fired everytime I pressed RMB to fire my main guns (and my keyboard was not remapped to do this) - is it intentional? Nom Torps, BTW, are deadly as hell! They behave more like guided missiles - fast agile and powerfull - I´m using them to shoot down fighters. My X-Wing with pair of them is unstopable! Still at level 5! Maybe there should be more balancing? Less damage? Severly rised cost of the launcher? Money is easy to earn and 500k is not too much for such a terrible weapon. And unlimited ammo makes me God indeed... OK, enough of whinning. One more thing: DA should be ashamed - most of the modifications from Rebalance schould be part of original game. Now I can´t imagine playing FL without this mod. Again: great job, MD! Carry on!

  • MD, I did what you instructed about the NoSP part and all, and guess what happened. There was no SP missions all right, that is good ... just like the Multiplayer .. BUT THE NEW GAME STARTED with a Starflier right in the middle of Omicron Minor!! I was fragged!!

  • Somthing wrong with my &quot;openspplay.bat&quot; even when i´ve updated it i start in the omicron major system... with no thruster.. kinda hard starting out there... Hope this will be fixed asap... Still a great mod... but i dont bother to start doing all the sp missions all over again.. or start in omicron major for that sake <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Ok.I´ve tested some of my old save with the new version of your mod. The new mission with multiple capital ship are beautiful.My only complain is the HUGE stream of plasma from the deadly wounded ship. I´ve encountered a problem.My preferred weapon,the Kusari &quot;Hyperpulse&quot; photon blaster show very huge explosion when the projectile hit a target.The explosion is a resource eater and my Framerate fell down.   • Long, the textures on the Elite ships are not missing, they are meant to look that way, but there are some .bat files into each ship´s folder that are changing the textures(combatcobra.bat in case of Cobra MKIII). docking animations had to go cause of the flyable capships, besides its must faster this way so i don´t understand all the whinning. nomad torps are indeed too strong, i´m gonna reduce their damage in half and make them consume energy while firing. Gameshark, v0rtex, i just did a re-fresh install of the game in a separate drive/folder, recopied the mod and the BAT patch, and everything works fine, the game with OpenSP activated starts on MAnhattan at level 6. and its reversible, if you run normalplay.bat an restart the game it will start into SP campaign again. I suggest u dou the same fresh install and erase all old savegames(even if keeping my old saves did not altered the way OpenSP was working). Fromtier fan, that explosion at impact is a feature of the HyperPhoton, also present for the DragonsBreath. i suggest u get a better video card, at least a GF 3 TI or even GF4. The explosions are very cool especcially on capships.

  • Maybe i wasnt too clear in my explanation In rebalance 1.9 the explosion of the Hyperblaster shot was small... Now is big like half a Liberty Cruiser... I use this weapon in other 5 ship.Never got a problem in 1.9. Maybe its because i use some old 1.9 save? Btw...i run my Freelancer with all the setting at max and this is the first time i notice some resource problem. My system is a 1.7 ghz intel processor,with a soundblaster live and a 3d blaster 4 mx.640 mb of ram.A bit old,but for freelancer was good. Other game i run with no problem: Il-2:Forgotten Battle Unreal Tournament 2003

  • I´ve got a question about this: Is your current worth supposed to jump from 500 to 13,516 after you accept the first mission? Because by the time I´m finish mission 1 I´m at 42,000, and after I sell some stuff I´m already supposed to meet Juni at the bar and I haven´t even left Pittsburgh! --- Okay, I think I found the problem.   • MD!! DON TOUCH THE NOMAD TORPS!! They are good as they are, it has been the best missile/torp weapon I have ever used ever since you stripped me from my missiles (by making them take cargo space!!)~~!! Missiles/Torps don use energy, and since the technology is unknown and alien! Let´s leave it that way! Puh-leese!! Raise the price to 600k or something, or put them on the hardest planet to reach! Just don change any specs of its performance! You change it to a harder to reach planet, and I will get there! Raise the price, I will buy it ... but if you tweak this .. sigh .. I would have nothing else to say, but &quot;Missiles were cool when they had no cargo limit and etc&quot; Noone uses the missiles anymore in my area, because of cargo limit. stalkers are crappy, normal missiles are just not worth to keep in stock, and torps are too slow!! Let the Nomad Torpedo be!! Raise the price or change it to another base! Besides, the Nomad Torpedo is the only weapon that I have seen worthy among all other missile types, ever since you added cargo limit.

  • Tried out the Open SIngle Player BAT and it does not work. I did this .. Enabled OopenSP with a new game, the game starts at Omicron Minor with no thruster. Loaded Normal SP and saved and enabled OpenSP, and the game goes into a FOREVER mission loop. All I can do it &quot;MEET JUNI AT EQUIPMENT&quot;. Talk about Deja Vu.

  • jus a quick question about the cloak, i kno its missile jammer but the readme and info relates to &quot;invisible to the naked eye&quot; is this true cos i got shot to s**t by some capital ships (i came through victorious to tell this tale) so am i actually invisible or is that just mp and not sp? any help much appreciated Buc PS - MD do u do anything else except mod FL, cos if so, when do u find time to do this amzing work!!! You call that a ship, THIS is a ship[![![!
