Girls & Freelancer

    I too, was suprised by the revelation a few months ago that sw was female. I´ll say now what I said then; More of it! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I don´t think that a person´s gender matters; I treat everyone the same way.

    people think that Girls playing games is wierd, and I´m not going to say there all sexist to thier face cause I´d have a whole lot of people mad at me, but they are, and why is a girl playing video games any different than a guy playing Video games? YOu still either are good or bad, and By being a girl or a Guy you don´t get any fancy awards or bounuses, it doesn´t affect game play so who cares?     When I was In grade school I refered to me and my friends as the stoners who didn`t use drugs to get stoned, we were either naturaly that weird and srewed up or we had been awake for 3 days. Beening Awake for 3 days has all the halucinations of drugs. But its free, well not really, you have to pay for $100 worth of jolt, and red bull. And the best part is just as Much Brain Damage!!!!

    I´ve never understood that view, pehaps someone can explain it to me; why are women &quot;strange&quot; or &quot;weird&quot; if they play games? That makes no sense to me.

    Esq, too many years of stereotyping. The boy plays with trucks, cars, ect and the girl plays with dolls. It is always hard to break the stereotype thinking. But, I think is long past time anyway. Any woman/girl should always be welcomed to TLR or Freelancer. I´m pleased you play it and contribute here, sw, as well as the others I know of like malystryx (haven´t seen much of her lately, hope she´s ok) I tried to get my daughter who´s a big sci-fi nut interested, but she prefers rot like Everquest and DAOC so she can &quot;wang&quot; around pretending to be an elf. i once tried to get her to play FS2 but she couldn´t grasp targeting and shooting straight. Thank heavens I have a Monkey as well, to pass my decades of starfighter skills onto. I once foolishly attempted to show my wife how to play TvX which was an unmitigated disaster. I leave her alone with the Sims Hot-Date, online gambling, eBay and MSN-ing with Locutus.

    I´m not happy with it. Re-reading after I came back, there were great clumps i decided were trite, pretentious, verbose and unnecessary. Trying to put into words what I can say with a single inspired image is very difficult for me, I´m not a wordsmith. However I shall labour on.
