Yup the flu is doosey, haven´t had it for years. I used to think everyone was a big nancy until I got it for the first time. It was the first and last time i´ve ever taken a day off from work for sickness.

I got nailed with the flu about three months ago. I had to take TWO days off from work. I had it that bad. That was the first time I got the flu in ten years. Not that it is of any comfort to flu suffers at all but I just noticed that a new victim of SARS was identified by the Beijing govt. AND, also, the Center for Disease Control here in the US just confirmed that a guy in my neck of the woods actually ad avian flu but was not diagnosed with it at the time (9 months ago! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_shock.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> ) so medical authorities are rounding up all the people he came into contact since then to get samples to test as well. No one knows how he got it and since he does not regularly come into contact with birds, they are concerned that this avian flu has a new method of being contracted from another human host.
