  • You would be correct, Code <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I´m still reeling from some recent posts. Phew! Hot stuff.. lol

  • yay, I always throughly enjoy your posts athena =P oh, and jacob, use discression with that new toy of yours.... that is an extremely potent weapon cpable of dropping an entire fleet in the middle of nowhere...

  • I´d say that Jacob´s disrupter mine is a total godmod. And I´m not sure that the Order would suport the Covenant. They want to get their hands on live artifacts, don´t they? Why wouldn´t that draw the thought that they´re working with the nomads?

  • Godmod? Not so. If you use that brain of yours, it makes sense that ships would have to use some system to navigate through a jumpgate, and if that system was disrupted, BANG! Besides, it´s not like I´m gonna be super evil and destroy whole fleets with it. Let´s say that it has the range and radius to take out one or two ships bunched behind Jake´s ship. That way, it may be evil, but not god moddish.

  • Hey, as many of you already know, Konn is running a server and it is soon to be using a mod I am developing. If you guys are interested in playing on the server, I have a proposition for you. I will build you your ship in this RPG if you ask for it. For example, I can build a custom Falcon for Code and call it &quot;Rob´s Falcon&quot; or &quot;Codename´s Falcon&quot;. I´ll even equip it with whatever hardpoints you guys want. Email me if you want to play and get a custom ship. (Note, it needs to be a vanilla ship.)

  • I see. Danke. And Konn explained to me about Kress and his evilness. So nevermind about that <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Edited by - Wilde on 9/22/2005 3:32:16 PM

  • i think i know where the kress thing is going... but still be careful what you do with the disrupter... oh and that server Idea sounds really cool, I´ll have my black drake with full load out of nomad weaps firing yellow shots if that is possible =D

  • Please! I soo must have that book! Maybe Rob didn´t destroy it. Maybe he he mistook (a word?) a chunk of scrap metal that floated away from the Yanagi Field for the book. And a Junker buys it, and one of Stefan´s friends buys it for him on Yanagi. I need that book!

  • <font size=1 face="trebuchet ms"><BLOCKQUOTE><hr size=1 noshade>Maybe Rob didn´t destroy it. <hr size=1 noshade></BLOCKQUOTE></font><font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> He destroyed it. But don´t worry. You´re more than welcome to have Stefan live his life according to the principles contained therein. Wilde can correct me if I´m wrong, but I don´t think there was anything patently <i>new </i> in the book. The ideas are all from what would be (very) ancient history to the Sirians. So it´s quite possible that Stefan could have encountered them at some point. As a point of curiosity, what would you have Stefan do with the book if he had it?

  • Get it sold so that people get an insight in mankinds forgotten history. The way of life of the Human before the Sol war. I think that pretty much is forgotten from the time before the Sol War. Like religions. Christianity and Judaism might still exist in the Sirius sector but on a very limited scale. And seemingly unknown to most people. In Kusari Shinto seems to be popular. If I´ve got it right, this book contains philosophies from Asian religions. Such as Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Konfucianism and so on. Much of wich seems (I´ve never encountered anything in the game that says anything about religion) forgotten by people in Sirius. Oh, and I can admit that Stefan is... well, he supports the idea of Hispania as an independent House within Sirius. And he holds the Outcasts high, as somewhat an evolved strain of mankind. And I want to ask one more question before I leave. How does it come that Rob and Tanya are able to mow down at least a hundred Outcasts (there must have been at least 5000 Outcasts on Cali) but still can´t cope with a horde of rock throwing primates?

  • Element of surprise, too. In all honesty we didn´t assume anywhere near as many people living in Cali as you did. <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • No, man. The success of the Cali mission is attributable to many factors. The element of surprise, assistance from Konn and Travis, gadgetry, and the ability to plunge the station into darkness all were very important. Also, the idea that Cali had anywhere near 5000 people stationed aboard it is just not right. If you look at the populations of similarly sized hollow-asteroid stations - like <A href=´http://arbiter.de/sirius/edge_worlds/omega-41/bases/freeport_5.html´ Target=_Blank>Freeport 5</a> and <A href=´http://arbiter.de/sirius/edge_worlds/tau-37/bases/falkland_base.html´ Target=_Blank>Falkland Base</a> - you´ll see that they are in the low hundreds. You only get populations in the mid-thousands on stations like <A href=´http://arbiter.de/sirius/liberty/new_york/bases/newark_station.html´ Target=_Blank>Newark</a> and <A href=´http://arbiter.de/sirius/kusari/shikoku/bases/deshima_station.html´ Target=_Blank>Deshima.</a> Granted, the population of Cali is &quot;Unknown&quot;, but it is more comparable in (physical) size and type to the first two stations I named. As such, I think that it´s much more likely to have a similar population size.

  • and you also have to remember their would be some children and women who are non combatants. granted many of the outcast females do fight, but I´m sure there are a few whose paternal instinct is just a little too strong...
