• ST110 - Well, you need to figure out a way to get Hans retired from action, or whatever To [GR_Fallen_Angel: Note - a couple of CYOF people are on New London. If you want to have your character interact with ours, let us know. Edited by - Hahukum Konn on 7/17/2005 6:15:23 PM

 • I really don´t think you should abandon Hans. DSQrn and I had the deaths of our chars long planned, but following suit and dumping yours would be...tedious.

 • Why though? What´s the point? What can´t Hans do that you want to be able to do? Answer those and you´ll know what sort of character to create, should you remain committed to this course of action.

 • The Bretonian ones? Probably at Southampton Shipyard for repair and refitting. As for the plot twist, well, go for it, I guess. If I were you I´d wait to get Gabriel more involved before doing anything too wild and crazy, but that´s just me. Like I said, go for it. If it´s too over-the-top, we´ll let you know. Alternately, run it by Athena first. • ok so it´s very dramatic, but having Gab flying around doing missions ect would just get boring. if it is too dramatic (which it could be) I´ll change it. I was going to make his flight through the rest of Bretonia longer, but I thought it was long and boring... tell me if you think otherwise

 • I´m not going to say that it´s too dramatic (though I think it´s the most dramatic development in the game to date - at least, in terms of the amount of wholesale destruction), but there is a problem. The destruction of Dublin conflicts with the BAF mission involving Nick Warren, DSQ´s new character. The trap that his forces were going to spring was meant to catch - if I understand correctly - Mollies pursuing some transports coming from Dublin. If I were you I´d get in touch with DSQ and, at the very least, work out the timeline of events so there´s no confusion. As far as the actual destruction goes, well, I do have some questions. First, who did it? Second, why? Third, how? Fourth, where did they go afterwards (and how)? The characters don´t need to know any of this but, for a development of this magnitude, it really would be nice of you if you´d let your fellow authors/players in on your plans for this whole thing. The biggest concern I have is that if there´s a faction able to wield enough destructive force to swiftly and secretly destroy an entire system, then the Sirians are up against a foe they likely cannot defeat. And the game will suck majorly if everyone dies. Let us know where you plan on taking this and we´ll see what everyone has to say.

 • yeah, ok, firstly i chose this system due to its remoteness and the thin population, it would only take a force of two battleships and their escorts to take that system, of course something larger would be needed to take out the battleship without leaving a trail, perhaps so we dont ruin it for the readers i should do the rest in an email...

 • I´m encouraged by the inventiveness (and drama) of your post. My first thought was "Wow. Dublin destroyed. There had better be a good explanation for this!" And then my mind went off on its usual ramble and ended up with a journey back in time to prevent the system´s destruction. Just kidding. It won´t take long before Dublin´s fate is long discovered by the rest of Sirius. You can betcha the hornet´s nest is stirred and anyone who has a stake in that system (Bretonian military, corporations, traders, bandits, hunters, freelancers..ok everyone) will send in their people to investigate. • Here´s my take on it: Like Codename, I have some difficulty picturing who could lay waste to an entire *system* all in one go with no-one figuring it out until Gabriel gets there. A more limited amount of damage, perhaps? Or, purely off the wall, what about Omega-5? Blasting two bases owned by the hardest-edged criminal factions would be a good way to clear the decks for a takeover of Sirius if Mason is still up to his eeeeeeeeeevil plans.
