on multiplayer do you have to do missions?

    Technically, no. You do not have to do missions. However, unless you have a buddy to set you up with some credits or find a server with a mod where you start with some real money, you´ll need to do at least several missions to earn enough to be useful. Typically, once you can get a Rhino with a full cargo hold, you can shun missions and just trade for awhile to get plenty of cash.

    you can make money other ways than missions even at the beginning without being given it wrecks and mining as for where and what .......that would be spoiler territory
