SL and WC

WC is a classic game, and is now a rarity. Try eBay for second-hand copies. Just make sure you have a machine old enough to run it. Privateer was a game set in the WC universe, and it let you take on the role of trader-mercenary character. I haven´t played it yet, and along with another game called Elite, it is the ancestor of Freelancer. Oh yeah, IIRC, Privateer was the brainchild of Chris Roberts, who created StarLancer and the early conception of Freelancer. Now, LOL means laughing out loud, while IIRC means if I recall correctly. Actually, I was talking about WC: Secret Ops, since Prophecy is something I lost all hopes to find. Speaking about the Kilrhati Saga, how can I get it. Speaking of whether I can afford it, does it mean the stuff is pricey? And, thanx, guys, for the info.

You´ll be hard pressed to find Prophecy on the shelves these days. Personally though it was my least favourite out of the Wing Commanders. Except the Wasp and those swarmer missile packs, man there was nothing more satisfying than firing them off.

I´ve already started the quest for WC - I ordered it at a number of local PC game shops. Hope at least one can get me this game. I also found WC: Prophecy gold pack (4CDs) on e-bay. I have Wing Commander Prophecy, I also have the Secret Ops mission pack also. It is 115mb. It compares to StarLancer very closely. Back in the early 90´s, I bought Wing Commander II, kilarthi or something like that. It was ok. I enjoyed Chris Robers Strike Commander much better. I don´t have either game now, I think that was 1993/4?? Strike Commander looked more realistic in the graphics. Wing Commander just looked blotchy. It wasn´t untill the TNT and Voodoo2 chipset that I got back into gaming. So, when I found Wing Commander Prophecy, and read that it was 3d accelerated, I bought it. It was at Electronics boutique, for 5 dollars. Needless to say, Star Lancer was superb in gameplay and graphics. I recently watch my copy of Wing Commander, the movie. I the ship scenes were from Digital Anvil. Live Long and Prosper Chris Roberts.

Wing commander always had a special place in my heart. wing commander 4 was the first game i actually bought and i never had as much fun playing a game as I did in wing commander 4. I sure hope Freelancer will be able to beat it, but in my opinion, wing commander 3,4,5 are all much beter games than starlancer <img src=´http://users.pandora.be/Freelancer/Brol/avatar.jpg ´> You should know the weapon doesn´t make the man

I didn´t really like Wing Commander movie - somewhat weak storyline and acting. The game is way better (though Starlancer is my fav).
