Coalition?

    About 800 years before Freelancer starts, there was a war going on between the Coalition and the Alliance (a part of that war going on in Starlancer) and the Coalition was about to win the war, so the Alliance decided to flee from their defeat and they did so with the help of five sleeperships (named Liberty, Bretonia, Rheinland, Kusari and Hispania). The sleeperships left the Coalition behind in the Sol System and established themselves in the newly found Sirius Sector.     Like any dictatorial regime, I´m sure they´ve collapsed in on themselves by now.     I still wonder if we´ll see a small brid of information about the coallition in freelancer. As for the Espania, it´s a great question. I wonder myself where they landed. Could it be that they didn´t made it to the final destination (destroyed while trying to flee the sol system? The intro movie does say that they all made it to jump... who knows then...) Maybe by playing more into the game we´ll be able to find more information <img src=´http://pages.infinit.net/guibs/images/guibs.gif ´>

    to my knowledge the hispania was destroyed and the bretonia heavily damaged... why it arrived 25 yrs after liberty did. know what would go well for an expansion? the coalition comes back to the FL universe to take over the sirius sector!!! all out war and this time im gonna get my payback!     This is what I know after flying around the space reading stuff people won´t: firstly, in the intro movie, you will see a sleepership being destroyed(it stop flying forward and turn some degree around), and when the storyteller say they manage to break thru and the ship powerup the hyperdrive, only 4 left. the &quot;destroyed&quot; ship is hispania, half of the crew escaped with emergency ships inside hispania and arrive to siruis about 50~100 years later. another half stayed with the ship and repair it until it is fly-able and reach sirius later. the first half who escape with ship is the corsairs, the other half who stay to repair the ship is outcast. main source:planet crete infocard(f9), omicron gamma

    How come the Alliance didnt start attacking the sleeper ships as they were heading off. They are big and slow they could´ve have easily spotted them and taken them out. That´s until they warp drived thier asses outta there. <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>
