What´s with Zone 21?

 • If you like I can tell you the exact purpose of Zone 21 but it is featured in a SP mission. "It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold, it is very cold in space." ~Khan, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

 • Zone 21 is designed to protect the Alaska jumpgate at its core. Now, before you go haling off to the Alaska system, know that it cannot be reached in MP, although you will go there as part of the SP campaign. The minefield is NOT survivable, although there is one tunnel in...

 • That´s not cool... Nightsilver... Can´t go to alaska in MP? How lame is that? There some sort of to-good-for-multiplayer commodity dealer in there? Sometimes, whoops IS the right answer.

 • ...But don´t bother trying to go trough because you´ll get a "ACCESS DENIED" msg when you try to dock with the Jump Gate... Bastards... I tried sooo hard to get there...

 • JumpGATES can be logically sealed.... what REALLY pisses me off is gettting "access denied" from a jumpHOLE.... geez a jumphole is a space anomoly, there is no mechanical parts involed.... now THATS lame... better just to have removed the jumpholes for mp "Keep it icy, man .. I dont want to end up a corpse before my time, because YOU were daydreaming[!"

Story-wise , Zone 21 and Alaska are strictly off-limits to non-military personnel, so there are no publicly accessible bases or planets in there - they just serve as the scenery for a pretty big battle during the SP campaign.

 • The only things visible in Alaska are: 1) A LOT of mines 2) A ´prison´ which serves as the setting for a long cinematic sequence in SP. You never actually get to use it as a base. 3) A base which is neutral to you, but you cannot dock with. The only times during SP you have access to it, you´re supposed to be going somewhere else, so you´ll get the dock denied message. 4) Some weapons platforms near the Gate to York.

 • Zone 21 Reasons For existance: 1 Nomads Main Battleship (Growing) System 2 Carry Liberty Worse Scum 3 TO be Locked and be Gaurded by a mine field 4 Take up space

 • It´s pretty much like Area-51 I didn´t acutally even know it existed before the mission, even though the jump gate can be seen from the Ft. Bush->Norfolk Shipyard trade lane Didn´t try to go in though on my own. <img src=´http://www.msnusers.com/_Secur…pg?dc=4675428431123479001 ´>
