ReBalance Mod version 3.40 News

  • Looks nice! Can you by any chance tell a little about the gameplay? Will it be drastically changed or enhanced or anything? Or will news like that have to wait for a later date?

  • I admit it is nice to see more Star Wars ships coming into play. I also admit that other mods have changed the ships in XWA into things like Wing Commander, giving you the ability to use their models (with their permission of course). But....don´t TIEs have solar panels? I don´t see any on that TIE advanced there... If a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a hurricane, what do spammers cause?

  • Who cares give me the new REbalance! More Tie´s more better. Like the Tie hunter frome Rouge Leader 3 maby? The rebalance mods are SO good I would PAY to get the lattest one. But no ooops patches, BETA test test test test. I am look foward to whatever the mext rebalance is.

  • Thanx guys, this is my first TIE model, more SW ones will come, all done from the enhanced XWA models now available at Darksaber OPt Station. I got permission from Tony himself to use these in FL. I know it supposed to have solar panels, but means overalying(or overlapping, i dunno...<img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>) some textures and i could not do that with the current model. But my skills will improve that´s for sure. Hopeffuly i´ll be able to add some cocpits into the fray, perhaps for the rebel ships as well... This one is gonna be a heavy fighter with 4 guns/4turrets/2 torp launchers and 3300 armor. Also dual thrusters for speedier getwaways...<img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Gameplay will be more stable, at least in EFA. I tracked down that error that was preventing players for buying commodities such as niobium at Earth.And even more tactical as i intend to make enemies tougher. 4 new types of armor will be available instead of the old common upgrades: Durasteel Armor, Titanium Armor, Strontium Armor(yep i know it sounds weird...<img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>)) and Depleted Uranium Armor. These will offer increasily better protection against explosive weaponry such as mines and missiles, and not only the players but the Npc´s will be able to use them. Their normal properties of hull HP enhacement remain intact.

  • LOL! Next thing you know well be flying DEATHSTARS! And blowing up planets and what not! lol. Umm the stats you mentioned are really not better than that of a advanced defender... hmm.. I geuss I was just craving one more in the neighborhood of an eagle or sabre that could stand up to most any threat with more than just speed.. But dont get me wrong I can hold my own in the adv defender no problem.. but the armor is really low so when you are hit your hit hard. I know you can buy armor upgrades but the cargo in ANY Tie is so low that its hard to fit anything in (like an Upgrade armor 4) and still have enough for scanners tractors and what not. Thats the only weakness I see in piloting one. I like the looks without solar panels myself.. but what do I know.   • Nice ship tylium, i´m working on some myself. And Augur(J.Driskell) sent me an updated version of his ship pack for Rebalance, containing a little monster among other ships: a Behemoth, a train/liner type of ships with a humongous cargo, and very nice looks...<img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Screenshots will folow shortly. Final version of the TIE avenger will feature solar panels, an will be slightly smaller, but with better cargo holds that the T/A x1, 75 units. the T/A was alwways weaker than the Tie Defender, Cibi, and the T/S is a VHF while the T/A will remain a very agile HF. It has class 9 weaponry tough, and up to class 7 shileds.

  • that ship i am creating is an Bs VHF hybrid and when it is finished there will be more version for sale the bs Lf hybrid is oing to be a bit overkill but i will try to make the front weps gone then

  • It all sounds good but when is the relese date for the mod? (if you have one) I like the idea of new armor upgrades, upgrades make rebalance the best. I do have some ideas though, some mods out there have some realy nice effects for the weapons, Realspace is good and dark i like that, and i have the darndest time finding a stable server. i love rebalance keep up the good work.

I love all the ties in the game, the TIE X1 is my fave <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Just a question, cud someone possibly do the TIE Hunter from Rebel Strike or the TIE Droid from RS1, ive really wanted to fly them both on FL.

  • Hey MD, have you checked the Datastorm´s error lists? With your mod i mean ofcourse. Just making sure cause theres alot of things on the list that are easily overlooked. By 3.4 I imagine the most important thing is to not be as bugged and I just thought you might want all information possible.   • ya michael the DS 3.6 had like 22,000 errors in your mod I am trying to run your mod on my server built a box just 4 your mod I would really like the next mod 2 be beta tested thourley befor its release . also there r a lot of ships that nobody will ever use the ships on trenton/newark/westpoint r uglu and dont fly worth a crap please dump them and add your new ships there would like the mission payouts to b raised to better ballence the game esp in MP people log on by a frieghter and 2 hrs later there lv 40 as an admin I would like it 2 be harder to trade lookin foward 2 the next mod What about the bonus !!!! oh juni

  • That´s a good question. ~ And here´s an idea: One of the armor types could provide better protection from radiation in systems (like Omega-41, Omega-11) and from nuetron stars, dark matter, planetary fragments... Or perhaps that would be shields that block out more radiation. ooo, I like that idea better <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>
