Has TLR changed you?

  • I have met people from different countries, cultures. I have broaden my view of the world and ideas. I hope, I have made some new friends as well, which would be the best part. <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Michael<A href=´http://messianicgentile.tripod.com/´ Target=_Blank> &quot;Finalday&quot;</a> <i> In Memory Of WLB </i>

  • I have friends here, and not in real life, thats gotta change a person...

---- Call me Arania Humans Fear what they do not understand. And i doubt you understand me. Never say `Eat Me` to a giant snake. Bad idea, believe me...

  • esoteric??? Eskie I swear your getting as bad as Taw. I´m having to pop out to dictionary.com everytime one of you guys posts, and I consider my word power to be above average. <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Yes, definitely. Ive met new ppl here and made many new friends and have gotten good advice from many of them. Also, thanks to Bargib and all the other staff members, ive gotten the chance to experience game development first-hand.

  • every experience changes you you are primarily the sum of your experiences ;so i would say yes plus im now mad <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • not in the least. I was a sarcastic self-centred annoying opinionated anti-social misanthropic git before and I haven´t changed a bit. Yay!

"for once, i`ll actually tell you what i was thinking; but maybe i won`t have anything to say.."

  • Perhaps, I´m not sure. Anyway, I have fun here. An idea came to my head and is now desperately searching for brain

  • I think it has...since I´ve been here I can´t stop adding people to my msn list :/...dunno why though. My life wouldn´t be the same without TLR. It gives me a place where I can enjoy myself, where I can meet the old pals, where...life has a reason

  • I´ll agree with that. If not for TLR I wouldn´t be on the Starfyre Studios team. That´s been an exciting ride ^_^ P/-/3@R D@ D@//G F00lZ Check out what I´m doing for Reynen´s Mod @ my website! <img src=´http://www.planetirg.net/spawn/bob2.jpg ´>

  • Yes. In that my understanding of games and modding has been improved immensly, to the complaint of my wife who says I spend too much time playing FL and tinkering with all the files. .... I successfully created a couple of scripts to add my personal preferences to other mods so that I don´t have to edit ini files anymore...Yay! <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> . But did it change my personality? No. On the other hand, I have been deeply affected by what happened to Worth. And I have been troubled by some of the cries for help that I´ve witnessed so I cannot say that I´ve been entirely untouched. Hey. But I´m still here. <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Well if it hadn´t been for TLR i´d never have gotten the help i needed in defeating Hovis in the race mission but apart from that it hasn´t changed me as a person What´s the point in living if you can´t feel alive?

  • Mustang - I´m a hell of a lot worse in real life. Trust me; I even use completely useless words such as &quot;scrimshaw&quot; in conversation <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Taw - I believe you <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Indy - Well <i>my </i> personality has changed slightly; I think that you guys have been using mind-control on me! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Since I joined TLR, I´ve been far more overtly humourous; I tease people all the time, even at work, which I would NEVER have done before. Nick - Why am I not surprised? You &quot;dafties&quot; are all alike... <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I think that it says a lot about a site when <i>most </i> people *glares at Nickless* feel that it has impacted on their lives in even a small way. The question now is, is TLR more than just a Freelancer site? I think so. Opinions?

It´s a Starlancer site too.<img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Really though, TLR has meant a lot to me. It´s given me a place to talk about things which I could never really do in real life. It´s just a nice feeling to be able to talk to so many people, all with a common interest (Freelancer, well, mainly). It´s the first and only forum I am a member of, and now I´m too attached to leave. <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Kinda like one of those parasitic sucker-fish....<img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> EDIT- @Indy- yeah, I knew that, but other people wouldn´t, so I just wrote that.<img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Corsair#01takes no responsiblity for any Spam created or endorsed by Corsair#01 Postings Limited.
