What is the Best Gun Set Up for PvP

    The best set-up: . . . . . . . The one that doesn´t get you splattered all over known space. It´s different for every player- rather than asking for someone else´s rig, try different combos of weapons to see what you get the best kill/death ratio in. What works for someone else might get you pasted. That said, try something without Nomad weapons.     nomad weapons stink. they have very low refire<b>1.00 </b> sheesh and no realistic power drain. better you get slamanca mkII´s. they are energy efficient and still have drain Edited by - ittan_v on 4/17/2004 9:22:35 PM

    Are you playing the same game as the rest of us Ittan?! Nomad Energy Blasters have a refire rate of 4.00 and Nomad Energy Cannons have a refire rate of 3.03 They´re the most damaging weapons you can mount in the game!! So what if you´re not draining much power?! What would you rather? A house that used lots of electricity or none at all!!!!!?!?!!

    I would suggest that you do a few things.....think about your loadout. for instance, if you have 2 del cids and 4 blasters, they are all shot speed match (aim is spot on), and they all have a refire rate of 4 - which means each hit will do the full damage impact. If you mount ones that DON´T fire at same rate, whilst you might put more fire down (as in cannons would fire in between teh del cids), if you miss with one, the other only does small damage. Its okay if your really good at keeping them in the target recticule, but personally, i would like each hit to be max damage, rather than missing with the main damage, and catching them will a bit of something else. It might NOT sound like i am making a good arguement, but each hit is lower in power when not fire matched......... So i go with 2 del cids and 4 blasters for guns set up, with a star killer torp (cheap and takes out all heavy fighters, and nearly an eagle when done right), or if i have a rich character, i mount 2 del cids, 2 blasters, 2 cannon ball missiles, and a sunslayer.     i´m thinking off a redical outload; - tiz del cid - cannonball launcher - neutralizer launcher - skyblast b - skyblast b - skyblast b - tiz del cid turret i´m still thinking if i gonna use a torp or a disruptor in the T/CD hardpoint... i used this outload on a short event off 1 off the clans i join... i got the highest kill and was killed less times during the event... i used then the sunslayer torp... but the most where killed by the spray off fire while i shot the 2 missiles in a combo... their are less fighters with stay alive after the burst off fire with was fired on them in the first pass... some escaped, but where destroyed after turning around... _________________ <i><b>Spamius Threadius </b> </i> Just one second after the birth of the Universe, space was flooded with particles and over the next 300 million years stars and galaxies began to evolve into the kind of cosmic landscape that we recognise today.     I have to wonder what would happen if someone mounted 5, 6, or 7 shieldbusters and a torp or missile on their ship...that would be the mother of all VHF smackdown rigs (for a missile user, that is)- 2 shots, no shields. 3 shots, no ship. All on the first pass, if done right...wouldn´t lose power, only 7229 credits. Could be done with either HF or VHF. Of course, that would be the square root of crap against an LF, but the look on the other guy´s face would be nothing short of priceless...     The super missles mount I have tried and the best I think for long battles : ( you need to be rich) Eagle: 4 Tiz 1 canonball 1 firestalker 1 SkyB Turrent (does not matter) CD: Hornets Mines: Rippers once you get the enemy head V head fire first 1 hornet then imediatly fire the missles, mostly he will be with out shields and your hornet will kil his incoming missles, and your missles will finish him (you must have good timing for missles so his CD wont make them explode on your face) off course this way needs much $$. my normal mount: Eagle: 2 Tiz 1 canonball 3 Nomads 1 SkyB turrent CD Wasps Mine: Drillers/Cutters its good for clan wars and help in killing enemes fast and even if u used all your missles you still can fight with the 3 nomads guns. my guns only (and missions) Eagle 1 Tiz 1 Kraken/SkyB/Salamnka (did not decide with is better yet but I like the kraken) 4 nomads 1 skyB turrent Starkiller (for missions only) I will test soon mounts with 1 tiz 3 SkyB 2 nomads that where recomended by vetran players. &quot; Does Fraging PKs makes me any better! ? <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> &quot;

    @nukelt, or just to foolish to just turn around and not try to escape with div maneuvres... but well... i think it´s also doable in a patriot to do 245k missions and killan eagle player in pvp actions... the only question remains is how to do that with
