Game news, ID needed to rent/buy some games

I don´t buy those excessively violent games anyway. I could have fun just with a challenge, all that blood on the screen spoils my view.

Well, just get your parents to buy them. If your parents won´t, then you probably shouldn´t be allowed it anyway.

Correct Esq.! I wish I had the systems to play the cooler games though. I just have a gamecube <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Oh well At least Metroid Prime 2, a new Zelda game, and uhhhh I don´t will be coming out for it. Why did they give Halo an M rating. I play the demo and there hardly isn´t any gore or stuff like that.

What a rubbish idea! A normal person would never hurt someone because of a videogame. If so, he should seek professional help. This is another example of the weird laws they have in both the US and Canada. They allow hunters to kill thousands of INNOCENT BABY SEALS but you can´t buy violent video games? I always had respect for the Canadian government but I´m stunned now! Same as the US! I agree with what wiz said. I mean, its just plain rediculous, why should they enforce age limits when kids are sure to get them anyway, If they don´t get them via the regular selling points, do you even think they won´t turn for the underground?? I think they will, just for pure sport of it, thats how kids are in nature, they want to defy the rules laid out by any superior force, whether that be a government or their folks, they will get that anyway. Like &quot;experts&quot; proclaim, that you can tone down the Violence from Kids with guns by just cutting off their videogame violence supply, do they even take themself serious?!?!?! OK I agree a game can be violent at times, but what do you think these kids see on the news?? Daisies and and bunnies?? ofcourse not, most parents look at the news broadcast with their offspring, and with all the wars and stuff in the world today, I don´t think those broadcasts are full with lottery winners getting their prizes. Most of these accidents happen because there is probably a cause behind it, I haven´t ran across any messages in my games that say, I must kill all of my m8´s. it happens (With all due respect to those that live in that kind of neighbourhoods) because of Gangs fighting eachother, and of a shooting happened at a school (again with all due respect) its probably because the poor kid was bullied to the last straw and the lad decided that he had to take matters into his own hand, thus taking his dads gun, or buy it off the streets (like I said, if the government won´t allow it, they will probably get it via the underground) and do what he already was planned to do. what some kids need is a darn good spanking under their arses, allowing kids too much freedom is bad, what is good for the children, is up to the parents to decide, but with a proper amount of disciplin when they grow up, and you´ll see that most cases won´t go that far anymore, because thats what the world of Today lacks, Disciplin into the next generation, they are far too soft for their children (and I don´t say that you have to beat em senseless with all kinds of materials, just a small amount of disciplinary action). for sofar this rant, don´t get me wrong at all, I wrote this with the highest regards and respect for the people involved, and without trying to get too political on matters, and I certainly do not want the responsibility for starting a political thread. To put my 2 cents now <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Game violence cant get kids to do bad things. I mean come on, all of my PS2 games are rated M (I have couple others, like FFX type games and one racing) but the point is I see all this violence in a game, all bloody killing, shooting, and all those things that make the game fun, but I never think of doing them, that would be just plain sick and stupid...as matter of fact because of games I wish to stay away from violence, as in games you can see that violence can kill....and I don´t want to be a killer. If I am angry, which seems to be biggest excuse for violence, I will just take a copy of a good rated M game and take all my violence on poor polygons that come my way <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Thats all the game is, a bunch of polygons that run around shooting polygon bullets, now how can that cause violence in kids <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. If people think of games as &quot;real&quot; they need a psychological help ASAP as there is something very wrong with them
