explains a few things...

 • WTF!!!!!! Not only do you have to wonder about the effects of prozac itself but to now know for sure that you are drinking water in which traces of what has been "excreted" remain is well..... repulsive.

 • Didn´t we have a similar scare a few months ago? Except instead of prozac, it was oestrogen or progesterone in the urine from women on birth control pills that was making its way into the drinking water. It was supposedly reducing the sperm count of all the men in the area. Personally I think it´s just a huge conspiracy set up by a cabal consisiting of the CEOs of Evian, Vittel, Volvic and Perrier

 • lol. I know. I find it amusing that the government for the last couple of months has been pushing "healthy living" extremely hard....including "you must drink 8 pints of water a day to maintain a healthy lifestyle" Now if one were paranoid....

 • All water is filtered to a certain extent. Spring water uses the ground to do it, while city water has its methods. Most water drank in the US is recycled water.

 • i read somewere about the female hormone in the water system. Apparantly, no bull sh*t here, but some guy who drank massive amounts of water a day started growing breasts! I just couldn´t stop laughing! Wheather it was true or not is a different story all together though. On the subject. It really doesn´t surprise me. The concentration would be very very low though. Besides there is probably a whole load of other stuff in water we don´t know about.

 • simple fact is, that everything you take during the day, will one way or the other end up in the watersupply, this happens everywhere, no exception. Fact is, the purification procedures are good, but not perfect, the only sure fire way of having perfectly clean water, is to destillize (boil) it, then you know for sure your water is unharmed and p-erfectly pure, just plain H2O. but since that would soon be the end of us (the calcium deposits in the water give us enough Calcium for the bones to grow and to keep the circulation system from destroying itself due to high pressure (Calcium strengthens the structural integrity of the Veighns)) it is highly likely you will find stuff in pour drinking water that really doesn´t belong there.

 • The BEST water is from a well that is out in the country away from polutions. Crisp and cold. Best drink around. Note. In the city of Fayetteville, Ga, our watrew system draws half from wells. The minerals are so high, that it literally eats metal. The tub drains , commode handles that are metal have to be replaced twise yearly. Edited by - Finalday on 8/9/2004 5:25:27 PM

 • And, of course, the fact that your water eats metal is good for your insides?

 • I always enjoy reading about whats floating around in my drinking water, but you havent lived untill you have visited a water treatment facillity and find out the amounts of pathogens and pestcides that run off into the water supply. Just one of the many benifits of living in a agricultural dependant community. "I fly like an eagle, and I drink Old Crow."

 • Hehe, thats why we only drink water that is 99.9999% pure (I dont mean from a bottle, I mean having a $3,000 water purifier and sofner. We test it every year or so) Edited by - banjokazooie2000 on 8/10/2004 12:52:24 AM

 • That´s one of the reasons why I prefer beer - it says right on the label that they´re using only the "purest water". Life is sexually transmitted

 • Drinking not entirely pure water is actually good for you, I´ve been drinking water from a hole in the ground for years, it was lead to tank in which I´m sure dead birds and bird droppings could be found, a few minths ago, we lived on a farm for a few months, got water from a stream, lots of iron in it, as well as it has been flowing over baboon poo, bok poo and who knows what else I rarely get anything worse than a cold, I think its linked with the water, my family rarely get sick as well

 • On the flip side, you could also be infested with nasties, like tapeworm, round worms, various bugs and mites/tics. I would certainly not advise drinking water without some form of purification, as to be honest, you would be shocked what they find in people these days! You should at least boil the water before drinking it...
