RELEASE: Freelimits v0.60

  • I have the original patch, but I think there are good reasons not to release it, but wait for Alcander´s fixed versions. Not to be a pain, but I <i>did </i> test it, and it has several problems mixed in with the good stuff. I´m in the same boat with the rest of you insofar as waiting on the rest is concerned... I´m looking very much forward to seeing these things work as well as possible <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Having finally got my grubby little paws on a copy, i agree with u Argh, lots of good things but lol. One of the issues seems to be a mixture of already ´sorted´ .exe files mixed in with patches, one issue being with the money hack that levels seemed to be stuck at level 40 irrespective of how much dosh u have. Even the F1 exe suffers from the same problem. Maybe a menu system might be in order or individual patches so the user can choose what they want. Just my 2 cents.

  • Well you are stuck at level 40 in the SP campaign regardless. And perhaps some other patches have been included in the patch but I just found the one that I knew worked and didn´t have the cruise additions so everyone would stop screaming. The money hack does work to my knowledge but level 40 is still the max in SP -- I haven´t fiddled with this yet.

  • I agree with gibbon make it so we can all get our hands on the ones we want F1 the most important to me i dont need the rest as of yet so any chance please of making it so its like a patch get the one/s you want install them hey presto all is happy or simply put do a chips (super easy version) tell us step by step on what tools to use what button to press and what to edit and what not to touch makes life a lot simpler for us thicko`s LOL that way we slowly learn stuff and you never know we also may find something out and add it to your list of goodies for peeps to see and use I never tell the truth but that was a lie

  • I wonder why you dont release short where-to-edit-what info on issues that dont cause much trouble (anti-cheat problems) and would give server operators the ability to highly improve the gameplay on the flservers (which *could result in a player increase the fl community really needs) the issues would be simple server-side things like 0.91 reputation limit, group limit, and so on... (I remember you had some more ideas like universe chat) that would be features that directly affect the online community, giving it an advanced feeling of fl-gameplay...!

  • It is possible to go past lvl 38 in SP but only (so far) by going back through the story a second time (or rescripting to do another 13 part story). This of course involves hacking the save file to fool FL you´re starting from scratch. I figure this limit is set in content.dll somewhere as that seems to hold the SP only stuff like level up money (i´ll repost StoneD´s set of addresses for this if anyones interested). Fancy a pop at this Alcander?

  • Well the level 40 issue is in MP, and it´s only since i´ve patched the .exe this has been happening, i gave myself 1.5 billion to try out the money hack and now it shows level 40 no matter how much cash i have.

  • i have test the 2 000 000 000 money hack .. in SP and MP , that´s work .. i have edit the save , and test too the newplayer file ... both work but .. if you have upper than 999 999 999 , when you buy for example a reputation ... you come back to 999 999 999 ... if you have unde this limit and someone give you money, you obtain a &quot; possible cheating detecting &quot; and be eject from the game ... someone else must be modified

  • This release in general needed more testing. The next one will have testers so I can ensure proper functionality. For now it might be best to refrain from using any of these. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  • i understand .. but i prefered give you my tests !!! we needs to find the cheating detection function ... have you some good news , for breaking the group limit number ??? and the range scan upper 10 k ??? have you an idea to obtain the blue box fix for scanner , beam tractor, engine .... etc into your ship , as the canon blue box when you mount or unmounted it ... it possible to see the empty blue box for cannon , you understand what i meen ?

  • Alcander are you fixing all 6 entries in server.dll? i´ve seen StoneDs version but obvously not yours... could you post or send me what you´ve done with that? +++ out of cheese error - redo from start +++

  • Can the rank be edited to match the new money limit, say up to 100. I know people keep adding stuff but i think that this would complement the money hack nicely. I am using the money hack on my server and it works just Dandy, although only I have that kind of money so far.   • Hex Workshop. I don´t know which ones to change but the values in parenthesies(spelling) are the hex equivelent of 2500 and 8000 if it is as simple as poppin in the new values for the old...if not I will need further instructions.

  • Did you have to buy it, or did you download it for free and from where, or what? Oh, and for which one to change, do a trial and error. Back-up the file, then just keep changing one at a time till you get it.   • I downloaded it from here http://www.bpsoft.com/ There is a trial version and its a lot newer than the one I have. It will have a Dec to Hex converter in it. As far as the tut well.....it wont be tonight. however I will say that the numbers down the left side are line numbers, the block of numbers and letters that are grouped in 4s in the middle are hex values that represent either a command, a poiter to a memory address, or data in a memory address. The charctors on the right are just ASCII representations of the hex values from the center block.
