FL Rebalance 3.40 Comments, Bug reports and suggestions

  • Unable to activate this mod from FLMM: The central directory was not found in the archive, or you were trying to open not the last disk of a multi-disk archive.

  • where did you get the mod and how big is the file: it should be exactly 53,957 MB or 55,252,451 kb long. otherwise download it again, this error ussually occures when the whole mod´s archive is not downloaded.

  • Same thing happened to me and i downloaded it 3 times , im trying a 4th time so hopefully it will work this time , each time iv downloaded the file its been the wrong file size <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • well, landed at Alaskan Research. The first one I´m pretty sure and now I can´t fly out of there. The game juts me out of the dock before the doors get completely open then I´m stuck flying around in circles until it finally get´s to where the scene cuts to my cockpit view and the doors have already closed and I´m stuck. There is no way to manuever around this problem with the controls either. The doors are plain just too slow or the game should delay sending you out til they at least open. Now I have to go back to an earlier save and lose quite a bit. But this apparently may happen at all the alaskan bases? I don´t know. In fact i wonder if this happens at all bases with dock bay doors?

  • My Mozilla download manager says that the file size is 53957KB. I´ve done this three times now and there is no variance in the file size as indicated. I am downloading from TLR. I am using FLMM Beta 10. I still get that central directory not found stuff.

  • I haven´t had any problems to speak of with v3.4 or FLMM lately, so sorry that I´m not help to all of you guys who are having trouble. But I have a question: Zoners are nuetral, having no enemies or allies (my Status box says specifically &quot;Allies: none. Enemies: none&quot; ). So ideally my repuation should remain constant with them, regardless of what my standiong w/other factions is (provided that I don´t shoot them, of course, which I never do), right? For whatever reason, my rep has constantly been getting closer and closer to Hostile with them, and I don´t know why. My rep is -9 with BHs, -8 w/Unioners, -7 w/Gaians and Mollys. (all red) My rep is green w/Xenos (<img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I´ve been shooting them whenever I see ´em, but I shoot BHs more), Corsairs, Hessians, BMM, and Bowex. My rep is -5 with Zoners, and I´m worried that it´ll tip to Hostile, preventing me from landing on any Freeports or 2 Zoner Planets. Since they don;t ahve enemies for me to kill, I have no idea how to fix this -- any ideas? thanks a lot Edited by - Ro9ue on 3/19/2004 9:01:53 PM

  • Ro9ue, you can try to bribe them mostly at Zoner bases like Freeports. If you can´t find no such base search it with FL Datastrom and it will show you where. Piddyfull, i tested the Alaska complex with a variety of ships and never get stuck at dock or launch time...

  • Alright, I bribed the Zoners, and I was green with them for a while, but each time I destroy any ship, it starts to go back toward nuetral. I mean, I know where to bribe them now so it´s not a big deal, but I was just wondering WHY my rep keeps changing with them - if they´re nuetral, you´d think that your rep wouldn´t ever change with them. And when I used Data Storm, I noticed a Supercherged Shield Battery in the Equipment list. However, it is not listed for sale at any bases. Is there a way to perhaps incorporate those into the next version; despite their 500k price tag, they sound pretty spiffy <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Rogue, checked the empathy.ini, and they do like some factions a bit. if im right these factions are IMG, BountyHs, EA police, unioners, xenos, lane hackers, GMG, ?fc_uk_grp? . And they realy have no enemies. Am i the only one think TLR webserver is overloaded? no response for half minute, and the like?

  • Oh, no! I am piloting a Hydra (very nice, once you get used to freighter-like handling; it makes the later missions quite fun b/c you are able to blow almost anything - Rheinland Cruisers, Nomad Battleships, Nomad generators - to smithereens with ease and to tractor in ALL that loot <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> ) But I´ve reached the Omicron mission where you have to retrieve the Nomad Powercell, but when I launch, my huge ship gets caught on Osiris´ bay doors. My Hydra gets swallowed back into the cloaked Osiris, so I can see everything around me but I can´t move anywhere. I can activate my cruise engines, but I remain stationary <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. I guess I´m going to have buy the Anubis to complete the campaign. Please, could a patch be released for this? The Hydra is now my favorite ship, but I´m going to have to sell it and almost all of it´s weapons/equipment and cargo to complete the campaign. Edited by - Ro9ue on 3/20/2004 11:16:23 PM

  • I´m afraid is no way to patch for this Rou9ue. I was the one increasing the size of the Hydra so it can match a small capship size. Just buy the Anubis or Sabre and finish the SP Campaign then go buy the Hydra gain. Still, I´m gonna release a patch that addes a Hydra MkII, that´ll have the original size Augur gived and probably just 750 cargo it and you´ll be able to use it in the end of SP campaign too...

  • thanx Ragabash. It was hard work to get the mod this far. I´m proud of what it became and pleased it´s so very stable, balanced and fun it this version. If more fans will ask for it i´ll make a Imperial SD addon. In fact i got a SW capital ship pack planned for the next version, including the Nebulon B frigate, Dreadnaught, Assault Frigate, Strike Cruiser, Bulk Cruiser and the Imperator and Victory classes Star Destroyers. So stay tuned, i might even add the massive SSD!! Btw, Rogue, I made the addon for the type B of teh Hydra Corvette Prototype. Its already uploaded to rebalancemod.com and it´ll be posted here on LR very soon. The type B is sold on Osiris and Toledo, and it fits into the Osiris dock bay, being slightly smaller than the original. It retains the firepower but has up to class 9/class 7 dual shields and class 9 weapons plus only 2 class 10 turrets. It´s also more maneuvrable than the other variant.
