TIE Universe 2.1 - suggestions here

  • Silvik, I increased the cruise speed to 625, it covers the distance much better without getting killed in the asteroid fields. I left the thrusters alone, need them in combat as they are. If the speed is too high, besides the problem with asteroids, you over run the action. Do you mind if I try to put any other ships or stations in the mod. I´m just a beginner, but I´m learning.   • I get an error that Tie Universe "won´t properly activate" whenever I try to activate this mod. I´ve installed SDK1.3 at least ten times. Do I need to see a "Freelancer SDK" folder under FL? I just see a new data folder within Data. What´s going on? Is this evern SDK related?

  • do people even friggin PLAY this mod anymore...never aw any servers and LOVED the mod but no servers so drifted away......if you got an IP plz post and btw inr esponce to last thing check the file it couldent copy, then move it to a temp folder...worked for me.....

  • Reagan64,,,, You shouldn´t see any kind of new folder. The sdk file replaces data/ini files in data and its subdirectories. The path it should be aimed at is /freelancer/data. All of the variations work the same way including the new open 1.5.   • Yep, still here <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Have some real life problems and don´t have the neccesary time to finish properly some models. I think the mod is ready. I builded and textured the Death Star model but I don´t like it (low polycount). Now I´m rebuilding the model from scratch (high polycount this time).   • Bloody Heck! Someone post a link to the place I can download this thing already! It looks really cool! Great idea! To those of you that think its too hard*[Note)*: (Sheild Regen etc...) If you want to change the NPCs by yourself you have two options: (1). You can totally disable the bot and bat using of the NPCs: For this go to the pilots_population.ini in the Data/missions folder and search for the line &quot;repair_id = repair_fighter_both&quot;. Change all these lines to &quot;repair_id = repair_fighter_never&quot;. Then do the same thing with all the files &quot;repair_id = repair_fighter_both_ace&quot;. (2). You can also decrease the amount of bots and bats the NPCs are carrying: For this go to the loadouts.ini in the Data/ships folder and change all the lines with &quot;cargo = ge_s_battery_01, zzz&quot; and &quot;cargo = ge_s_repair_01, zzz&quot;. Change zzz[Note) to a number you like. You have to do this for every loadout in this file, as these loadouts are for all the fighters and freighters in the game that are flown by NPCs. [Note) is: &quot;zzz&quot; is the number of Bots/Bats. *[Note)* is: WARNING!This only works if Silvik´s MOD dosent use some other method! I hope this helps! We are the Photons.   • Hi PhotonGun! I told you this for my own Monkeys Mod. Silviks mod uses a similar method, but he does only have the &quot;repair_fighter_both&quot; lines and not the &quot;repair_fighter_both_ace&quot; lines, as these are my own new settings. So, you just need to replace the ones withoput ace, as there are noones with an ace. You are quitew fast in learning how to mod <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Why do you not try to make a mod by yourself. You can take The Monkeys as an example and try to change some things. We can need every new modder to keep FL alive! Have fun! Black Eagle

  • I´ve played 2.0 good, and I loved it, but when I go to download 2.1, the download stops at 10.6 MegaBites, instead of going to the full 26 Megabites, making a useless mod archive come up.
