blimey, i haven´t seen that show for years (it was never as big this side of La Grande Manche) but i did used to watch it when i was a little taw. Was it ever made in colour? We had black and white till 1973, you see. And did they ever get off the island? I don´t remember... one of the many cr*p things of getting older is seeing people you *know* even if only from tv shows etc, pass away. And the celebrities of today seem ephemeral and superficial compared to previous generations. I don´t watch much telly, except for documentaries in the main, but if I do its usually UK Gold so I can see the programmes I used to watch way back when. Apparently several million other people agree with me. And mini-Taw has stopped watching stupid cartoons in the evening now and watches classic comedy like Dad´s Army, Blackadder and It Ain´t Arf Hot, Mum. or Rumpole. I saw Edge of Darkness again for the first time in 10 years and couldnt help but notice what a gritty and tense political drama it was, with none of the slickness and polish of X-Files or any of those shows.

They did 2 movies, rescue from Gilligans Island and return to Gilligans Island. Rescue got them off, only to end up back. Return, they were rescued and chose to return with Howell setting it up as a resort.

taw, there just happened to be episodes in color. i liked watching this show as wee one.

I never figured out how the Professor could be smart enough to build a radio out of a coconut but he couldn´t patch a hole in the boat. And I don´t know why he didn´t bump off the Skipper and Giligan, then he could have had Ginger and Mary Ann all to himself. I asked my dad what he thought about that and he said, &quot;what about Mr. Howell?&quot; For me it was a given that the Professor could get rid of Mr. Howell anytime he felt like it. All you need to know about Giligan´s Island can be summed up by a line from the dad on That 70´s Show, I´ll paraphrase. &quot;Aw, they were about to get off the island and Gilligan just screwed it all up. They should kill Gilligan!&quot; Let´s get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

*is only 15 and thus has never seen the show* I´ve heard of gilligan´s island... never saw it though. Old show <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> *is depressed because he´s totally and completely overloaded with work. Wait, no he isn´t. Now he´s just confused...*

i watch adult swim, screw toonami...and i didn´t have good cable when i was 10 and under...so that´s pretty much what i watched..
