  • Hallc, If I knew the answer to your question, I´d answer it. Draven, Open ANY folder. in the taskbar under Tools, goto Folder Options. Under the ´View´ Tab in Folder Options there is a scroll down list. About half way down (just below ´Hidden Files and Folders´) there is a check-box saying ´Hide known files types´. Make sure this is NOT checked, then apply changes and find your way to wherever you mod .zip files are. Find the file, and right click on it and select ´rename´. At the end of the mods name the should be .zip.flmod . If there is not, write it in (must be spelt right). So, any mods would be shown as: Yourmod.zip.flmod TNG.zip.flmod Evoloutions.zip.flmod etc. etc. Once done, they should show up as Freelancer Mod Archives, and on double click should install to you FLMM mod directory - and into FLMM ready for use. If that doesn´t explain it, then sorry, I don´t know how to put it any other way.

  • Ok two things.First I need to know how to and where I can change the amount of money you get for a mission in SP as in the missions you have to do to keep the story moving and I guess you can say this is kinda part of the first question as in I want to know how to change the amount of money you start out with.   • There is a tutorial on how to change the first mission payout (somewhere), and the reward after completing SP, but I´m not sure if anyone knows how to change payout in any other missions - I certainly don´t know.

  • Hello guys. I´m starting a new mod for MP based on nomads. The story is still a bit blurry but nomads domain most of the routes by this time and r the bigger force in the universe. At least till the gods factions appear. Now, what i need is this. Does anyone know if there are any other nomad ships besides the ones we see on single player? I will also need ships with gos names, no idea where to find them. I ask your help, to b able to bring some change to modding.

  • Okay, here´s a new one on me. I´ve been modding now for quite sometime, and I have never encountered this little, nice, glitch. While I was creating new factions....which I have done succesfully in the past, I somehow....was able to change my call sign from Freelancer A1-1 to Navy A1-1. Blew me away when the docking ring at Manhattan called me Navy A1-1, and when the Police Patrols stopped me to scan my cargo called me Navy as well. Well, I searched high and low and have no idea how I did that....nice touch, but does anyone have a clue? I wouldn´t mind calling myself Zoners A1-1 <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

  • Hello, I am tring to edit an older Mod. Using Freelancer explorer, I wanted to add ships from some other mods, and ship packs. Also wanted to add weapons, from other mods. I am real new at this, Please can someone tell me how to do it. I tried but they would not show up in freelancer explorer. What am I doing wrong? Thnak you

  • I do believe that if you use the thread saying it holds all the answers in the newbie modders forum, that it contains a link on how to make hardpoints. Otherwise, search for hardpoint editor or creator - download, install, and then double click on the CMP file of your ship. As for FL:Explorer - that is a system creation tool - its not really a mod tool strictly speaking, and especially if in the mod your trying to edit uses XML scripts (FLMM script) - then you won´t see anything. However, there are plenty of tutorials on how to make guns, bases, set items to sell, make ships fly etc etc. Check the newbie modders forum, and read the post saying it has all the information.   • Okay, I have a slight problem. I edited the harpoints on a dagger light fighter. I removed the counter measure dropper and the mine dropper, and replaced them with torpedo harpoints (properly removing, resetting, and renaming the hardpoints). I also changed the torpedo hardpoint in the lower hull into a turret mount. While I am inside a starbase or planetside, it shows all the hardpoints properly and lets me install the proper weapons. But once I launch into space, they disappear from my ship info screen and will not fire. Any ideas on what´s going on? I used UTF editor to mod the hardpoints, changed everything in the shiparch proper, and even made up my own infocard for the ship. Edited by - TrueNoob on 4/23/2005 10:57:32 AM

  • if this question has come up earlier im sorry, but wiewing 44 forum pages with a 28k line i to slow for me. I tried to create a new ship from scratch using the complete ship creating tutorial, but when i tried to buy my ship the game crashes. since im a n00b i don´t know what could be wrong, could you please help me out? -left the game

  • hi kinda new but is here a way to edit the money on single player aswell i have a mod that is kinda hard when you only start with 500 cash and i wanted to edit that. if there is a way please email me @ nick_knight187@yahoo.com. also to some of the moders if you make mods for servers also edit the starting cash for single player aswell.
