    I hear the term ´Yanks´. On the contrary, there are only a few, if that, true yanks on this board. Most of us live in parts of the United States other than the New England and Mid-Atlantic States like massacusetts and New York. For example: Stinger and I live in Ohio, a part of the midwestern states. In the Midwest the states are known by the mascot of their largest college football team. Therefore, Ohioans are known as Buckeyes (Bucks for short). I don´t care what you call us, just be aware that not all Americans take being called a ´Yank´ as lightly as I did. Mets fans especially. This poses a question, where is Great Britain in this space race? All of these left developed countries are outdoing you. Time for a British Invasion.. of space.     Well, the more chauvinistic types in the East refer to California as &quot;La-La land&quot; or for those even more disdainful, &quot;Land of Nuts and Fruits.&quot; But I know no nickname, per se, for a Californian.
