I strongly doubt that Freelancer could be put off any further than the first half of this year. In fact I think I can safely say that if Freelancer doesn´t come out THIS year, it´s not coming out at all. "And now for the dictionary definition of swoon: What my girlfriend does everytime I kiss her!"

He was obviously somewhat a perfectionist and unable to make daily decisions (Think I read this in that interview). This would obviously slow down the development considerably. It seems like Jorg and Phil are doing a good job at producing so far <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

I have been wating since they first talked about it which I think is around 1997 which would make it 5 years now.I sure hope they start the PR machine soon so that they may sell well.

Well, I have been waiting for one and a half year, even I sometimes feel they should just release it. So I can understand you guys who have been waiting for so many years. Hey but, now <A href=´http://www.microsoft.com/games/PC/freelancer.asp´ Target=_Blank>Microsoft says</a> only 2002 as release date for freelancer (not just 2002 spring) Does this mean there is going to be delay or early release. Well, I am asking such questions because I am very eager to get my hands on Freelancer. I think they will release it 6 months after the beta. That is if they are planning to do release beta? otherwise we could expect it earlier. Just my $0.02

Well we obviously know FL will have a beta phase - Bargib announced it several months ago <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Based on this and other information, a very accurate release date would be between April and June.

This is another bad thing of MS. Why the hell they dont make a public beta so that us fans can say what they think about the game and give them the opportunity to refine those little things that can be changed in that phase of development and that can make a big difference in the final version??? Oh well...I guess we have to be faithfull...
