this film rocks, i have it on dvd, VERY underrated, it was limited on release because of middle eastern guys flying planes into tall buildings about 3 years ago to the day and such. The film is VERY heavy on censorship, about governments telling you what you can and cant do and can and cant <i>feel </i>. anyone who´s read 1984 or Brave New World know what this is all about and the ideas arent that new. its a shame, this could have been a GREAT hit, but too many people used &quot;the matrix&quot; as a way to describe what is essentially a world apart. The fighting is martial arts...with guns, the tetragramaton clerics have no advanced powers, just very well trained.

Seen the movie, it´s good. The plot is kinda simple, but the fighting scenes are worth seeing. Life is sexually transmitted

Fahrenheit 451 of course! But yeah, it´s pretty much an amalgam of various bits of dystopian literature and kung fu thrown in. Personally I found the fight scenes a bit silly till the final fight. The way they kept trying to draw aim and simulatneously block the other guy from doing so was really cool.

@rec: sure F451, i was just giving 2 examples of, im sure there´s more than a few references to these dystopian works. and yeah, that last fight where they keep knocking their guns to one side is my fave of the entire movie. Its worth listening to the

It sure is a good Motion Picture, and for various reasons, it shows us what the world could generably be without emotion, sure all wars have stopped, but at what price??
