Let´s clear this up: "Laying mines" means distributing hazardous, explosive obstacles to deter hostiles/deny the hostile access to a certain area. "Mining" means extracting precious minerals for commercial purposes.

In the last build we saw, for instance mining silver in Colorado was very dangerous for your health. It seemed that every minute you got attacked by a bunch of the "owners"... You can very easely make a living out of mineing, id used to mine the colorado silver fields for 2 hours till i had about $200.000 and buy a valkyre.
